A meaningful step towards enhancing patient comfort and care at Apeksha Hospital 💙

The Apeksha Development Committee has generously donated 875 curtains to the wards of the Rasavi Building, with a total contribution of LKR 8,662,500.

This thoughtful initiative goes beyond improving ward facilities. By helping create a cleaner, more private, and comforting environment, it supports the dignity, well-being, and healing journey of patients receiving treatment, especially those in long-term care.

This generous contribution reflects the Apeksha Development Committee’s continued commitment to supporting compassionate healthcare and creating a more comforting space for patients and their families at Apeksha Hospital.

Responding to the hospital’s formal request for support, the Development Committee extended vital assistance during February 2026 by providing essential medicines worth LKR 2.6 million.

This contribution included Ondansetron 8mg injections to help prevent nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy, Oxaliplatin 100mg injections used in the treatment of various cancers, and Folinic acid 50mg injections administered alongside chemotherapy to improve its effectiveness and help reduce side effects.

Through continued and timely support such as this, the Development Committee remains committed to strengthening patient care at Apeksha Hospital and helping ensure access to life-saving oncology treatment for those who need it most.

The MillionPaths Foundation of Millennium I.T.E.S.P. (Private) Limited (MIT ESP) has supported the Development Committee of the National Cancer Institute of Sri Lanka in the development of a dedicated website to facilitate the collection of donations from the public worldwide.

Beyond the initial development, the Foundation continues to provide ongoing support in maintaining and administering the website, including content management and regular updates.

The Foundation also assists the Committee with content creation, ensuring timely and effective publication of relevant information. In addition, the MillionPaths Foundation of MIT ESP undertakes social media promotion and digital boosting initiatives to enhance the visibility of the website and support the Committee’s fundraising efforts.
