🟥 HIV / AIDS Awareness – What Everyone Should Know

HIV and AIDS are still major health concerns worldwide, but with the right information, prevention and early treatment are completely possible. Here are the most important facts you should know:

🔹 What is HIV?
HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) damages the body’s immune system, making it harder to fight infections.

🔹 What is AIDS?
AIDS is the advanced stage of HIV. Not everyone with HIV develops AIDS—especially if they get treatment early.

🔹 How HIV Spreads:

Unprotected s*x

Sharing needles or blades

From mother to child during childbirth or breastfeeding (can be prevented with treatment)

🛑 HIV does NOT spread through:

Touching, hugging, or sharing food

Mosquito bites

Using the same toilet or swimming pool

🔹 Symptoms:
Early symptoms may include fever, sore throat, tiredness, and rashes—or sometimes no symptoms at all. Many people don’t know they have HIV.
