Dr. Rafeek's clinic was established in 1988 in Colombo (Sri Lanka) but later he moved to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he officially lived and practiced medicine. He worked as a consultant in complimentary medicine and alternative medicine including pain management along with acupuncture and various techniques under the banner of alternative medicine.

In Dr. Rafeek’s words:

I would like to say, here things are not always what they seem. While, I was studying MBBS in Faculty of Medicine from the University Of Colombo in Sri Lanka, I was so interested in natural medicine as well. As a clinic was founded by Yahya Hamza koshak, I worked with him in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The aim was to combine and integrate the principles of complementary medicine, as no single system of medicine has the whole answer to every medical problem. And consequently, we met with some of the internationally qualified Doctors of alternative and complementary medicine and also the western Doctors joint together as a team, where, we learnt and practiced and got number of clinical trial on patients, the best results occur mostly on the chronic condition.

I was also trained on naturopathic iridology and herbal medicine in UK, moreover, I handled nutrition, counselling, physiotherapy, color therapy, magnetic therapy, laser therapy, detoxification, colon cleansing, emotional disorders, cupping therapy and meditation, etc,.

Great healers like, Dr. Saleemkhan from UK ,Late Prof. Dr. Anton Jayasooriya from Sri Lanka ,Dr. Bernard Johnson from USA ,Dr. Ravi Ponniya from UK, Late Dr. Michael Nitingal from UK, Late Prof. Dr. Carlo Fonseka from Sri Lanka ,Dr. Anura Samaraweera from Sri Lanka ,Dr. Ameen Baig from Pakistan, Dr. Nirmala Sathasivam from India , Dr. Nirmalan from UK, Dr. Frank Kennedy from German, Dr. Suresh Sanmuhanathan from Sri Lanka , Dr. Anjala and Late Dr. Peter from UK. Dr. jennet Acupuncturist from Denmark, Late Dr. U.D. Chandrapala from Sri Lanka and finally, Dr. Deepak from India. As an outcome of all these personalities’ influences and advices, I decided to open a clinic for no pain, so far it has been highly successful. I must also mention that the state ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine has appointed me as an advisor to state minister. Clinic for no pain has pioneered to research into Chronic fatigue syndrome, pain management such as the shoulder pain, Tenis-elbow pain, cervical Pain, lower back pain, nerve pain, Diabetic neuropathy, tendinitis, migraine , stress, psycosomatic, low mood, anxiety, frozen shoulder, Sciatica pain, sleeping disorder. Such disorders can be treated and managed by us while providing the patients with best results ,Over the centuries, every country has developed its own system of treating illness .For an example surgery and pharmocology uses the basis of modern technology such as western medicine .The roots of Chinese health care Korean/China Acupuncture and medical herbalism. In India and Sri Lanka, Ayurvedic medical remedies play large part in treating diseases.

Homeopathy and herbalism are widely practiced throughout Europe. I traveled to many countries, and throughout my journey, many of them prefer complementary and alternative medicine. There is empirical evidence to suggest that all of these methods are effective in combating ill-health. Complimentary medicine provides another dimension to what we think of us conventional medicine, while modern western medicine tends to focus on treating specific illness and there symptoms. Complementary medicine takes body view and consider factors such as patients diet, temperament work, environment, and sleeping habits among others when prescribing treatments ,there are number of practitioners based on natural medicine and pain management with complimentary method of technique. Most of medical doctors who are multi- disciplinary with the complementary medical therapies, practice it in European countries.

I would like to mention, I teach, I have trained over more than three thousand Doctors western medical practitioners and natural medicine doctors.

In addition, most of my western medical doctors colleagues are giving the positive thoughts to develop the complimentary medicine, because it gives some chronic area of illness, tremendous result while, I'm still doing research on other areas as well.

Although, they differ considerably and the way they treat illness, all view the practice of complementary medicine are helping individuals achieve natural harmony and balance therapy making as much as less susceptible to illness and disease. Not only that, the quality of our life is determined on how we communicate with ourselves and with others .

I would like to say, just as the roots are vital for an organism , take care of your health before you make your face as beautiful. The branches will take care of themselves .
