Today Birthday of “Father of Modern yoga’ Veda Kesari Sri T Krishnamacharya. Whether you practice the dynamic series of Pattabhi Jois, the refined alignment of Bks Iyengar, the classical Viniyoga of Sri TKV desikachar, Dr Kausthub Desikachar , classical postures of Indra Devi, or the customized vinyasa of Viniyoga, your practice stems from one source: a five-foot, two-inch Brahmin born more than one hundred years ago in a small South Indian village, Sri T Krishnamacharya.
The credit for bringing yoga into the 20th century probably belongs to an unassuming man from a little village in the south. Tirumalai Krishnamacharya.
But whoever is born in this land will have to die one day. No one is immortal, no matter how great, pure and knowledgeable he is. Sri T Krishnamacharya died but his teachings did not.
Even today We are so blessed to be nourished by his teaching, example, and wisdom.
