On 27th September 2025, City Pet Animal Hospital – Pelawatta proudly joined the global movement to end rabies by organizing a Free Rabies Vaccination Campaign in recognition of World Rabies Day.
This meaningful initiative was carried out in collaboration with ACAPSL, with the valued contribution of Sri Lanka Veterinary Association (SLVA) and the unwavering support of our Community Partner – Lions Club of Sri Lanka.
Rabies continues to be one of the deadliest yet most preventable diseases, and vaccination remains the most powerful tool to protect both our beloved pets and the community at large. Through this campaign, our team was able to reach many pet owners in the area, spreading awareness, building responsibility, and taking real steps toward a rabies-free Sri Lanka.
💉🐕🐈 Every pet vaccinated on that day was a step closer to ensuring safer streets, healthier homes, and a brighter, rabies-free future for generations to come.
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and support to make this campaign possible – from our partners and community members, to the loving pet owners who brought their animals in for protection.
