On January 1,2025, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Hospital celebrated the dawn of the new year with the whole hospital staff. This event was held in parallel with the inauguration ceremony of " Clean Sri Lanka National Program" .

2022 ලෝක අබාධිත දින සැමරුම රාගම පුනරුත්තාපන රෝහල් පරිශ්‍රයේදී දෙසැම්බර් 03 වන දින පැවතුනි. පළමු අදියර රෝහලේ නේවාසික රෝගීන් සදහා වූ ක්‍රීඩා ඉසව් කිපයකින් සහ මනරම් රෝදපුටු නර්තන අංගයකින් සමන්විත විය . දෙවන අදියර වෘතීය පුහුණු ඒකකයේ ප්‍රදර්ශනය, මීට පෙර රෝහලේ නේවාසිකව ප්‍රතිකාර ලබා දැනට සමාජගතව සිටින රෝගීන් කීපදෙනෙකුගේ කතාවන් සහ සංගීත වැඩසටහනකින් සමන්විත විය.
සංගීත වැඩසටහන සදහා දයාන් විතාරණ, ප්‍රදීපා ධර්මදාස, ඉනෝකා අහංගම, නවරත්න ගමගේ,නුවන් ලියනගේ, නාරද විජේසූරිය සහ හේමන්ත හපුආරච්චි යන මහත්ම මහත්මීන් සහභාගී විය.

Yesterday RRH received Prosthetic and orthotic materials and components worth Rs 560,000. We would like to convey our sincere thanks to three Rehabilitation Physicians from Australia, Dr Charitha Perera, Dr Nirodha Gunawardena and Dr Gerard Webber for their generous contribution to continuing our P&O service without interrupting during this economic crisis.

Ten active wheelchairs were distributed in Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Hospital- Sri Lanka among spinal injury patients and one child with cerebral palsy on 01.08.2022 with the presence of Deputy Director Dr. Prageeth Darshana, Consultant Rheumatologist Dr.Duminda Munidasa, Consultant Rheumatologist Dr. Duminda Abeysinghe, occupational therapists, and other health professionals. We would like to convey our sincere thanks to Benevolence Charity Hall Hong Kong Limited for their generous contribution on completion of these 10 wheelchairs which were awaiting for a long time due to inadequate financial status and materials, and to Sri Lanka Buddhist Cultural Center Hong Kong for coordinating this donation.

Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Hospital Sri Lanka received donation worth 1.2 million LKR which consists of air mattresses, PEG tubes, SIC catheters, Foley catheters, enemas, Plaster of Paris and some essential drugs from Sri Lankan Buddhist Cultural Center Hong Kong with related to "Heal Sri Lanka 2022" project on 01.05.2022.

We would like to express our gratitude to Ven Seegiriye Sumiththa Thero Hon. Religious & Spiritual Advisor, Founder of Sri Lankan Buddhist Cultural Centre Hong Kong, for the immense guidance on arranging this and for attending this special occasion to officially handover the donation to us.

Special thank should go to Benevolence Charity Hall Limited from HongKong for sponsoring 20 orthopedic wheel chairs worth LKR 570000 for the hospital.

Our sincere thank should go to Dr. Darshana Hewa Kandambi and Dr. Dulmini Nanayakkara for coordinating this from Hong Kong and Dr. Thilanki Nelunika and Ms. Deepthi Dodangoda for coordinating it from Sri Lanka.

Rheumatology and Rehabilitation hospital Ragama is the only government hospital which has a wheelchair workshop to provide customized active wheelchair for the patients. Today a few staff members from Digana Rehabilitation Hospital visited us to study our wheelchair workshop and share the knowledge.
