We are a dedicated non-governmental organisation working tirelessly to improve the lives of children and families in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. At Child Development Fund, we are dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child and fostering vibrant, resilient communities. Since our establishment in 2005, we have worked tirelessly in the Trincomalee, Batticaloa and Ampara districts of Sri Lanka to

create a brighter, more secure future for children and their families. Our mission is clear: to support every child at every stage of their development, promoting their well-being and enabling them to catalyze lasting, positive changes within their communities. We are deeply committed to protecting and advancing the worth and rights of children, and we do so in partnership with local communities and organizations. Guided by core values – including the commitment to the cause, honesty, inclusiveness, love for humanity, and respect for diversity – we strive to create an environment where children can thrive, learn, and grow. Our programs are designed to address critical areas in a child's life, ensuring they have access to quality healthcare, education, and the necessary skills to participate actively in their communities. Child Development Fund operates with a strong governance structure, engaging parents of enrolled children and sector specialists in the decision-making process. This democratic approach ensures that the highest authority resides with those directly impacted by our work. ChildFund Srilanka has been our affiliated partner for more than 15 years; while we cherish our partnership with ChildFund Sri Lanka, We are also exploring new collaborations with various organizations to expand our service portfolio and better serve the diverse needs of vulnerable children, marginalized civil society and social cohesion.
