To strengthen Liberia’s fight against neglected tropical diseases , World Health Organization Liberia, in partnership with Effect Hope, Fundación Anesvad & Hope Rises International, handed over to Ministry of Health, Republic of Liberia a vehicle to support outreach, monitoring & community engagement in hard-to-reach areas.

World Health Organization Liberia , in collaboration with Ministry of Health, Republic of Liberia and African Field Epidemiology Network trained 33 community volunteers from 7 health districts in County to serve as active case finders and strengthen surveillance in hotspot communities.

In a significant boost to the country's response to neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), World Health Organization Liberia handed over a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser (Hardtop) to the Ministry of Health, Republic of Liberia.
The vehicle funded through the Transform Partnership including Effect Hope, Anesvad Foundation and Hope Rises International will play a vital role in supporting integrated outreach, monitoring and community engagement across some of Liberia's hardest to reach communities.
