Andrew Weah, a twenty year old Liberian returned to Liberia last week after eighteen years to search for his biological father.
He was two years old when his mother who is now dead took him to Togo following a minor domestic issue between she and Andrew's father.
His mother first told him that his father had died but after several years, she informed Andrew that his father named Alex Weah lives in Monrovia and hail from Sass Town in Grand Kru County.
She later died and Andrew's stepfather who is a Ghanian-Togolese started to abuse him and put him under violent treatment.
His stepfather later threw him out of the house his mother left.
Out of depression, he decided to come to Liberia in search of father's family and met a guy in Togo who told him he's also from Liberia but went on a business trip in Togo but got stranded because the vehicle that took there left him back.
Hearing that the guy only identified as Kamara came from Liberia, Andrew explained his story and told him that he wanted to come to Liberia to search for father's family.
Kamara promised to help him look for his father once they entered Monrovia but wanted Andrew to credit him some money to transport him(Kamara) back to Liberia.
Out of excitement, Andrew decided to transport him and give him some money for other things he would need along the way without asking him to refund the money.
He asked Kamara to help host him(Andrew) in Liberia while he searched for his father.
Sadly, when they entered Liberia, Kamara took Andrew to a local Hotel in Red Light and stole everything that Andrew came with to Liberia.
Right now, Andrew is left with nothing and has nowhere to sleep and no food to eat.
