Plastic pollution, accumulation in the environment of synthetic plastic products to the point that they create problems for wildlife and their habitats as well as for human populations. In 1907 the invention of Bakelite brought about a revolution in materials by introducing truly synthetic plastic resins into world commerce. By the end of the 20th century, plastics had been found to be persistent polluters of many environmental niches, from Mount Everest to the bottom of the sea. Whether being mistaken for food by animals, flooding low-lying areas by clogging drainage systems, or simply causing significant aesthetic blight, plastics have attracted increasing attention as a large-scale pollution.
In Liberia, plastic use is widespread due to its practicality and low price. It is also a significant source of pollution, littering the streets and clogging drainages that help prevent flooding.

plastic waste is the extensive use of single-use plastics, such as plastic bags, bottles, packaging, and disposable items. These plastics are used for a short period of time and then discarded, leading to a significant accumulation of waste. Additionally, inadequate recycling infrastructure, improper waste management practices, and lack of awareness about the environmental impact of plastic contribute to the problem. It is important to reduce plastic consumption, promote recycling, and explore alternative materials to address this issue.

The YAPW promotes
encouragement and development of used of eco friendly alternatives to plastic, such as biodegradable materials or reusable products.

And also do research on plastic pollution for public awareness campaign.
We are highly involved in initiatives that focuses on creating biodegradable plastics, improving recycling processes, and developing circular economy models.

Plastic waste is a global issue and it's Life threatening ,so in order to minimize it we have to work collaboratively.
Remember this requires a collective effort from all sectors of society to address the plastic waste challenge and create a more sustainable future.

Welcome to the (YAPW) organization, which speaks against plastics wastes globally.

This organization was created based on the environmental pollution that are demolishing lives .

The YAPW is a non political organization which prioritize the acknowledgement of plastic waste against human nature.

Fellow environmental protectors, we are honored to extend our gratitude and overwhelming acceptance as we welcome you all to this great transformational congress named (Youths against Plastic waste).

Our mission is
to effectively educate all of citizens against the harmful consequences of plasticity because if the community is safe , lives are save.

This initiative aims to establish environment-friendly plastic waste disposal solutions. In this process, we seek to ban the use of plastic bags and plastic products, and reduce plastic littering across the state.

Additionally, the aim is to increase public understanding and shape community perceptions on the dangers of plastic pollution and available solutions, thereby empowering more people and organizations to take action.

Our vision is that
we want this organization to explore every part of Liberia in order to transform and minimize the uses of plasticity materials.

We combat the plastic soup at its source and therefore, we focus on three main goals:

a). Prevent plastic from ending up in the environment.

b). Share knowledge about the health risks related to plastics. Lastly
c). Plastic additives.

Finally, our objectiv is to create a sustainable and environmentally-friendly future by reducing waste and promoting a circular economy through recycling and responsible waste management.

With respect to our values, we prioritize
Environmental interference, we embrace morality and fully time delegation for the transformation of our purpose.
