STAFF PROFILE

Today we are shining the light on our dynamic Founder and Executive Director, Mrs. Maima Dabah Quoi Pelham.

Mrs. Pelham is a wife, a mother, a pastor, a nurse an entrepreneur and a humanitarian.
She holds an Undergraduate Degree in Nursing and a Master in Public Health from Cuttington University.

Mrs. Pelham is the former Staff Monitor at the famous Redemption Hospital in the Borough of New Kru Town. During her stay at Redemption, she was driven by the need to provide prompt and effective healthcare services to patients who had to travel from places like Fofee Town in Louisiana Township or Cheesemanburg in search of medical treatment for common preventable illnesses and other health conditions. She therefore went on to established Serene Health Incorporated (formerly Serene Health for All Mobile Clinic in November of 2013).
Mrs. Pelham and her team have worked tirelessly and selflessly since the establishment. Something which
has earned her national and international recognitions. She was awarded the Healthcare Worker of the Year on June 27, 2019 by USAID (Liberia Development Awards).

Mrs. Pelham is also an entrepreneur that owns Cam Fashion Designs, a boutique and fashion house that does everything when it comes to fashion, including men, women and children African and Western attires.

She is also a Pastor at the Harvest Intercontinental Cathedral previously Bethel Cathedral of Hope, and has the passion for evangelism and winning souls for Christ.

She envision a Liberia that provides free, accessible and quality healthcare services to people with limited access, through a resilient primary healthcare system.

On yesterday, November 8, 2021, Serene Health Incorporated launched Phase One of its Early Childhood Deworming Project in Nyehn Town, Todee District, Montserrado County. The project seeks to deworm 8,000 pupils and children between the ages of 6-15 years in Todee, Louisiana Township and the Township of Cheesemanburg.

The overall objective of the Project is to "Increase ECE (Early Childhood Education) Enrollment and Retention in Rural Communities."

Serene Health, starting today November 8, to Wednesday November 10, 2021 is carrying out an intensive early childhood deworming project in 3 rural communities in Montserrado - Thats Todee, Louisiana and Cheesemanburg, where about 8,000 children from 6 to 15 years old are to benefit.

8,000 dose of Albendazole or in short worm medicine, will be administered to 8,000 children from the ages of 6-15 years, from selected schools and communities

Today November 8 the team will be in Nyehn Community in Todee, Tuesday, November 9 Louisiana and Wednesday November 10 Cheesmanburg.

To address the many challenges hindering the delivery of primary healthcare services rural Liberia, Serene Health Inc. is working to provide free, quality and accessible mobile health services to vulnerable and low-income household in rural Montserrado County.

Through our Serene Health For All Mobile Clinic, we provide Maternal and newborn care, laboratory diagnosis and treatment, psychosocial counseling, referral, et al.

We are committed to creating an environment where health Care is accessible to all.

Serene Health Incorporated (SHI) in partnership with the Carter Center on Monday, October 11, organized a one-day dialogue to commemorate the 29th celebration of World Mental Health Day.

The event brought 35 participants, including communities leaders, Community Health Volunteers, health workers and mental health clinicians to discuss Liberia's current Substance abuse and the impart it has on mental health. The dialogue was held under the global theme: 'Mental Health in Unequal World'.

The Mental well being of every individual is very crucial to the growth and sustainability of every nation.

Working to deliver free and quality health care services to vulnerable communities and Liberia at large is the number one priority of our passionate and hardworking Executive Director Maima Pelham.

Today, our Executive Director approved a concept paper to Celebrate the World Mental Health Day on Monday, October 11, 2021. The WMHD 2021 will be observed under the global theme "Mental Health In An Unequal World" through dialogue with community leaders, mental survivors or victims and stakeholders with the sole objective of breaking barriers and ending inequality in the provision and delivery of mental health products and services to people in rural Liberia.

Such initiative is part of our vision of bringing healthcare to you.

Reigniting The Vision; As Serene Health Incorporated completes a Two-Day Health Survey in Rural Montserrado County.

On Tuesday, September 21, 2021 our Team headed by Serene Health Inc. Program Manager, Elijah S. Tingban and its Public Relation Officer, James O. Frank completed a two-day Health Assessment Survey in Todee, Louisiana and Cheesemanburg rural Montserrado County. The assessment targeted District Health Officers, Community Leaders and Schools Administrators with an aim to safeguard the implementation of Serene Health Inc. pilot program (Serene Health For All Mobile Clinic) and strategic action plan that focuses on delivering prompt, safe and effective DEWORMING MEDICINES through its mobile healthcare outreach to poor and vulnerable people with limited access to health services at no cost to them.

The revealed gaps and long lasting disparities hindering the access to affordable, quality, and equity health care services in rural Montserrado, will guild SHI in terms of planning, development and implementation of projects for the last quarter of 2021.
