" Some Life Story Of Our Boss Sam Ajani Kowah Writes "
Posted by: Ahmed Lassana
In Guinea's land, I took my first breath,
With dreams in my heart, a destiny to be met.
At the age of six, with my dad by my side,
To Liberia we traveled, a new life to stride
As I grew older, I embarked on a remarkable educational journey. In 2006, I began my primary education at the Roland Howard Academy in Montserrado County, Paynesville City.
In the Roland Howard Academy, where learning began.
Books and knowledge, a world to explore,
In the classroom's embrace, my spirit soared.
From the alphabet's dance to numbers' embrace,
I discovered the wonders of knowledge's grace.
Teachers guided me, unlocking my mind,
In pursuit of wisdom, I left no stone unturned.
However, due to some unfortunate circumstances , my academic year was cut short but
In this journey of life, I've come so far,
From a young child dreaming under the stars.
From Guinea to Liberia, my story unfolds,
A tale of resilience, a tale to be told.
My parents decided it would be best for me to stay with my grandmother in Lofa County. And so, in the middle of 2007, I started a new chapter at the Massaquoi Day Care School. My determination and hard work paid off, as I was promoted not just one, but two grades ahead! However, my grandfather had different plans for me and denied the double promotion.
But my thirst for knowledge couldn't be quenched. In 2008, I was sent to Zorzor Christian Academy School. At the tender age of 10, my dedication for education caught the attention of the City Mayor of Zorzor City, who awarded me a scholarship. Not only that, but I also received a scholarship from the St. Benedict Catholic Church and the Baptist Church.
With the support of my grandmother and the scholarships I received, my educational journey flourished. I excelled in my classes, becoming the top student in each one. However, life took a difficult turn when my beloved grandmother passed away when I was 17. The loss was devastating, and I faced numerous challenges. I played gambles of all sort, I move about the street with my insomniac feet's and sold coconut and woods just to have something to eat and also have recess on campus.
But I had to remember that I have to be resilient and strong. I have overcome obstacles before, but I had to Surround myself with the memories and lessons my grandmother left behind. May her spirit guide me as I continue this educational journey and pursue my dreams through the grace of God.
My story is one of determination, resilience, and the power of education. I will keep pushing forward and I will never forget the incredible journey that has shaped me into the person I am today
