JOB ADVERTISEMENT: Financial Accountant
Vitality Hospital Management Services Pty Ltd T/A Vitality Health and established in 2014, specializing in health risk management, providing comprehensive solutions in pre-hospital emergency medical services, medical care, pharmaceuticals, and Occupational Health and Safety Services. Vitality Health mandate is to empower its clients to prepare and respond to health risks by providing tailored solutions that ensure business continuity.
We are seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will ensure compliance with regulations and legal requirements while supporting financial stability.
Key responsibilities include:
•Preparing financial statements using general ledgers,
supporting accounting decisions related to mergers and acquisitions.
•Developing long-term economic projections, and forecasting benefits.
This role also involves investigating and interpreting financial data and providing management with a variety of financial reports.
Business Process
• Develops individual plans to aid in performance management.
• Compiles and analyses account data to create capital, liability,
and asset account entries.
• Enters account details to document financial transactions.
• Analyses accounting alternatives to suggest financial actions.
• Collects data to summarize current financial status.
• Prepares profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other documents.
• Completion of VAT and CIS Returns across the VHMS.
• Audits records to substantiate financial transactions.
Financial
• Assists in developing Finance’s Business Plan and Budget.
• Complies with Lesotho Institute Accountant standards.
• Prepares and recommends procedures and policies by maintaining accounting controls.
• Coordinates activities and answers questions to guide accounting clerical staff.
• Collects and examines account information necessary to reconcile financial discrepancies.
• Completes database backups to secure financial information.
• Follows internal controls to ensure financial security.
• Verifies documentation, requests expenditures, and prepares disbursements.
• Researches and interprets accounting regulations and policies to resolve procedural questions.
• Assess Capital Expenditures Proposal and Return on Investment
Customer
• Participates in the budget-setting meetings with Finance Manager.
• Advises management on necessary operations to enforce adherence to legal requirements.
• Gathers, interprets, and compiles account trends and data to create specialized financial reports.
• Ensures client confidentiality by keeping financial information secure.
• Achieves individual and team goals by contributing to effort as needed.
• Co-operates with colleagues and other related departments for smooth running of operations.

• Complies to the VHMS’s culture, values, and behavior.
• Participates in peer learning exercises to inculcate a culture of continues learning and sharing of information and experiences.
Qualifications and skills
• Possesses ACA/ACCA qualification.
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• 2+ experience in financial accounting.
• Audit experience will be an added advantage.
• Must be a member of Lesotho Institute Of Accountants
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Highly proficient with accounting software.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
2. Job Title: Management Accountant
Vitality Health is seeking a Management Accountant who will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for providing analysis and reporting for annual and rolling budget updates, as well as preparing monthly financial and business performance reports. The ideal candidate will handle the preparation and timely submission of financial reports, conduct financial analysis, and provide insightful commentary.
Business Process
• Develops individual plans to aid in performance management.
• Contributes to a monthly written report covering highlights and outcomes achieved by the department.
• Prepares full Profit & Loss for the company with supporting balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reviews and investigations of all variances to budget including discussions with the department managers.
• Presents the management accounts to the Finance Manager for review.
• Responsible for the production and accuracy of the Monthly Reporting for management decisions.
• Ensures all deadlines are met in accordance with VHMS reporting requirements.
• Completion of VAT and CIS Returns across the VHMS. (financial accountant)
Financial
• Assists in developing Business Development’s Business Plan and
Budget.
• Complies with Lesotho Institute of Accountant standards.
• Investigates any unusual variances to previous budget.
• Responsible for production and accuracy of the monthly Investor reporting pack, ensuring all reporting ties back to the finalized management accounts.
Customer
• Participates in the budget-setting meetings with Finance Manager and Financial Accountant.
• Influences VHHMS budget decisions with a financial viewpoint, whilst considering the impact this may have on the business.
• Reviews budgets against prior year and budgets and actual performance and comments on major variances.
• Co-operates with colleagues and other related departments for smooth running of operations.

• Participates in peer learning exercises to inculcate a culture of continuing learning and sharing of information and experiences.
Qualifications:
• Possesses ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
• 2+ experience in finance and accounting.
• Add on Certificate in Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Accounting system (sage accounting).
• Computer literacy.
• Time Management and confidentiality.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Analytical thinking
