We are aware that Taffee wheelchairs ♿️ allocated without cushions ( pressure cushions):that causes pressure sores.
-pressure can be caused by pressure on skin from sitting or lying in the same position for too long without moving.
- wheelchair users are particularly at risk , because they may spend a long time each day sitting in their wheelchairs. Unless the PRESSURE is relieved, a PRESSURE SORE can quickly develop.
- FRICTION:friction is constant rubbing on the skin.For example, on a wheel/armrest as a wheelchair is moving can cause a pressure sore.
- TO PREVENT PRESSURE SORE: Use a pressure relief cushions. Anyone at risk of developing a pressure sare should be given a pressure relief Cushion.
---Sit upright: sitting upright helps to distribute weight evenly.
-Drink a lot of water
- Eat well
- Avoid friction
- Avoid moisture

sessions for yearsterday was a successful one,next month we are assessing 6 children for APT chairs , caregivers and parents will be trained how to do chairs , toys, benches, coffee tables etc, Using waste materials such as boxes,plastic bottles and newspapers, we will be inviting other organizations .

the ability of the wheelchair user to function in their wheelchair relies on a complex interaction between the user and their level of skills, the wheelchair ( including set-up,fit and POSTURAL support),the environment and the activity the user needs to perform.
(Meaning a wheelchair without a cushion relief it doesn't serve the purpose to user).
