I use an integrative approach in therapy, combining ideas and techniques from different therapeutic schools to suit each client’s unique needs. I believe in using the most appropriate therapeutic approach for each individual, drawing mainly from Psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Person Centred therapy, solution focused brief therapy, narrative therapy and Gestalt therapy. I also incorporate creative elements like play, art, and music based on my client’s preference.

It takes a lot of courage and strength to make that first appointment. You may be feeling anxious and nervous, this is a completely normal reaction.

I know that some people may be worried about how confidentiality will be managed and this is understandable, especially if you need to talk about very intimate matters. It is important to know that managing confidentiality is central to the work of a psychologist and they have received several years of training on ethics.

It is such a lovely feeling when you start to share your difficulties with someone who is good at listening, who is non-judgmental and who focuses their attention on you and your issues. Before you do that, these are some of the things that you may need to consider 🫶🏽
