The United Nations in Lesotho Resident Coordinator Taija Kontinen-Sharp today presented her Letters of Credence to Lesotho’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Hon Lejone Mpotjoane. 🇱🇸🇺🇳

During the meeting, they discussed continued cooperation between the United Nations and the Government of Lesotho to advance national development priorities and accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

As she concludes her assignment in Lesotho, the United Nations Resident Coordinator, Amanda Khozi Mukwashi, paid a farewell courtesy call on His Majesty King Letsie III.

It was a moment of reflection, on partnership, on shared purpose, and on the journey travelled together in service of the Basotho people.

Over the course of her tenure, Mme Amanda worked closely with the Kingdom’s leadership to strengthen cooperation, advance sustainable development, and place dignity at the centre of national progress.

As she prepares to depart, she does so with deep gratitude for the trust, warmth and collaboration extended to her by His Majesty, and the people of Lesotho.
