community Voices matter!!!

TAIYO consulted community where youth and community members opened up about the real challenges they face — from substance use, child headed families, unemployment to rural-urban migration, risky migration to South Africa.

At TAIYO, we believe that lasting solutions begin with listening and working together. Every voice matters in shaping a brighter future for our young people.

TAIYO participated in The Gender Based Violence Indicators Study Data Collection Tools Validation Workshop at Lancer’s Inn, Maseru, hosted by Gender Links Lesotho, in partnership with the Bureau of Statistics (BoS) and the Ministry of Gender, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture. At TAIYO,we believe young people must be represented in national conversations on GBV. As a youth-focused organization, we wanted to ensure the tools used to collect data are inclusive, youth-friendly, and reflect real experiences from the ground. Our participation helps strengthen accurate data, better policies, and safer communities for all—especially young people. This workshop is a follow-up to the first stakeholder review meeting held on 10 September 2025, where participants provided valuable feedback on the draft tools. Today’s session focuses on validating and finalising these instruments to ensure that the study captures accurate, comprehensive, and context-sensitive data on gender-based violence (GBV) across Lesotho.

At TAIYO, our work is centered on empowering young people, and World Mental Health Day reminds us why this mission is so important.

Many youth face silent struggles: stress, pressure, trauma, and lack of support—yet mental health is often overlooked.
Today, we raise our voice to say their wellbeing matters.
As a youth-focused organization, we are committed to creating safe spaces, promoting open conversations, and connecting young people to support.
When we care for youth mental health, we build stronger, healthier communities. Mental health is not a day, it's our daily commitment.

A New Era for Table Tennis in Lesotho! 🇱🇸

The Lesotho Table Tennis Association (LeTTA) is thrilled to announce an upcoming press conference to officially present the equipment donated by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) — a major step forward in empowering table tennis sport and youth.

The new tables are already making an impact — they were proudly used during National Youth Games on 2nd October 2025, where 30 athletes played ( 20 boys and 10 girls)
The represented districts were Quthing, Mohaleshoek, Berea and Maseru

We are already seeing the difference this support brings to our nation — empowering talent, inspiring hope, and growing the game from table to future.

the press conference is at LNOC MASERU WEST opposite to IGRA ACADEMY
