VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Position Title: Medical Superintendent
St James Mission Hospital, a leading health institution dedicated to delivering quality patient care and health services, is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and visionary Medical Superintendent.
This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing clinical operations and ensuring high-quality healthcare delivery aligned with organizational policies and national health regulations.
Key Responsibilities
-Provide clinical leadership and supervision to medical and clinical staff.
-Oversee daily hospital operations for effective healthcare service delivery.
-Coordinate clinical governance (quality assurance, patient safety, medical ethics).
-Facilitate efficient allocation and use of clinical resources.
-Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and standards.
-Support strategic plan and policy development.
-Represent the hospital in medical forums, stakeholder meetings, and government engagements.
-Submit clinical and management reports to the Board.
-Promote continuous professional development among staff.

Expertise in health systems management and clinical governance.
Commitment to high standards of care and patient safety.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
MBChB or equivalent.
Registered with the Lesotho Medical, Dental & Pharmacy Council.
Minimum 5 years post-internship experience in clinical leadership.
Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Services Management, or related field (added advantage).
