A DRIVER IS NEEDED

St. James Mission Hospital invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of a driver.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
• Transport patients, staff and hospital goods safely and efficiently.
• Ensure cleanliness of the hospital vehicle.
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws and hospital policies.
• Assist with loading and offloading when required.
• Report any vehicle faults or incidents promptly.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Good communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
• Must be physically fit and medically sound.
• Minimum of COSC, LGCSE or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum valid code 10 driver’s license with public driver’s permit.
• Minimum of 5 years’ driving experience, preferably in hospital or health related setting.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
• Ability to drive 4x4 manual transmission vehicle on an untarred gravel road and difficult terrain.
