More than 6 months ago, a woman came to consultation with Proffesor Antanas Mickevičius, quietly sat down, and said: “I’m tired. Tired of trying, tired of promises to myself, tired of not being able to keep up with my child. He’s still small, and I don’t have the energy he needs.” She had tried everything: diets, exercise, and nowadays increasingly popular medications. She lost weight. Gained it back. Each time ended the same way – with disappointment. After the consultation, she left clinic with a smile. Hesitant, but already it was clear – a decision was forming. Today – almost 6 months after the surgery – she walks 10,000 steps a day, sleeps without snoring, and has reduced her blood pressure medications. But most importantly – she has the strength to be there for her child the way she always wanted.
