No. But…

If you have kidney disease, this doesn’t apply to you and you need to talk to your doctor. If you’re an otherwise healthy individual, even astronomical protein intakes shouldn’t be a problem.

The goal should not be merely losing weight. You can lose weight and end up looking even worse.

Your goal should be to lose fat while maintaining/building muscle in the process.

Instead of trying to lose as much weight as possible as quickly as possible, focus on a slower & more sustainable approach.

This will allow you to build muscle in the process and end up looking a lot better. Because remember, muscle creates the shape of your body.

So have your end goal in mind — weight loss, visible abs, pick whichever variety strikes your fancy — but be more focused on other markers of performance that actually make a difference in your life.

The more you focus on the scale weight, the more you are missing the forest for the trees.
