I have recently realized that I see less and less heavily decayed teeth 🙏🏻
Prevention works! I hope that this will be universal truth around the 🌏 soon enough.

So most of my patients are either retreatment or post-ortho restorations. For the past 10 years I ask orthodontists (in Bolton discrepancy cases) to distribute diastemas in a way that let’s me use the least possible amount of composite and place it in the least visible places in the smile 🤗

Sharing my love/hate relationship with composite at The One, The Two composite courses & Connect the Dots lectures 🌍

I am back with smth super easy & predictable - look at that bleaching result! Hats off 🙌🏻

Non vital discolored laterals are usually quite a pain.
Have you realized that the smaller the tooth - the harder it is to bleach? ☹️

Patient after ortho, with some leftovers were taken care of hygienist first - great job in bleaching by a colleague. However value is still fairly low and patient wants composite veneers to cover the grayness.
Position of the lateral allows it so I agree and we proceed with a bit of reshaping of distal of centrals (I will show you soon) and composite veneers of laterals 💥

I am not a fan of composite veneers, but it will be great to follow the case long term 🤞🏻

Running on 25-hour days this year, but prepping for this Friday’s lecture with for is the perfect excuse to dig into some cases!

Also—new camera 📸 Still getting the hang of it, but can’t stop staring at these lowers. Any guesses why they’re untouched by life despite the patient being 25+ and uppers being a bit worn? 👀

Remember the fracture? 💥

A girl was referred to me to restore the small incisal fracture. However, buccal surface wasn’t really the problem. The whole mesial palatal was missing on both centrals.

Thorough medical history revealed acidic medication. Prolonged use of it caused erosion.

Now the main issue here is non existent space for full restoration of palatal anatomy.

So what’s next? Ortho and we will revisit palatal once we gain at least 1 mm of space 🫶🏻

Not many of you know that I went to a boarding prep school in the US on a scholarship for my junior year (11th grade). It was a military school (OK, military for boys, girls were a nice accessory).

But I was taught something that would change my perspective for ever.

Every step should translate into a result.
I should be effective.
I should be efficient.
I should be consistent.
Everything I do should make sense.

Simple, yet repeatable dentistry - connect the dots 🫶🏻

P.s.: some intruder in my compo lineup.

P.p.s.: Will have more recall pics in a month 🫶🏻

Talk about a dream come true! 🫶🏻

This week, I had the incredible opportunity to visit one of the oldest and truly the finest dental schools in the U.S. and the world—the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine . It was an honor to accept an invitation from the exceptionally generous to speak to the school’s faculty, students, residents, and the entire Penn Dental community.

Professor Blatz is a tremendous influence in modern dentistry, and witnessing his vision in shaping and advancing dental education was inspiring.

This marks the beginning of a beautiful friendship with ❤️ can’t wait to see what future holds 💥

The most common question I get is “what is your polishing sequence”?

It is no secret that I believe in good adaptation of composite, finishing of restoration and then polishing takes a minute only ❤️

Next stop - lecture at University of Pennsylvania 🫶🏻💥
