Ieškai, kas suteiktų pusiausvyros ir proto ramybės nuolatiniame skubėjime ir strese? Nuoširdžiai tikiu, kad Kundalini joga tau gali pagelbėti. ❤️

Susitikime jau rytoj 👉 https://fb.me/e/7Sy28PVB3

Praktiką vesiu aš, Gitana. Esu dukra, sesuo, žmona, mama, mokytoja ir sertifikuota Kundalini jogos, terapijos, gongo jogos ir gongo terapijos mokytoja. Šių technikų mokiausi I-Sky Kundalini Jogos mokykloje, pas Yogi Bhajan mokinį Guru Dharam Sing bei Švedijoje, kur ir toliau tęsiu Kundalini terapijos mokslus, o gongo jogos ir terapijos mokiausi pas nuostabų, pasaulinio garso meistrą Mehtab Benson.
Joga mano gyvenime atsirado kai man to labiausiai reikėjo, kai dukros pakėlė sparnus išskristi iš namų, kai rūpestį pakeitė savęs paieškos ir norėjosi pakeisti gyvenimo būdą bei palepinti savo kūną bei dvasią.

Have you ever been asked how you feel about life?

It sounds so basic but so many of us are so preoccupied with the doing of things, we don’t get to think about our answer to this question.

For my part, I think life’s fun. It’s by no means easy but it is fun to navigate for sure.

Since this question has been on my mind lately, I thought I’d share with you these 7 simple (yet not so simple) Buddhist habits that are an ongoing process for me. Sometimes I succeed at some of them and other times I fall back into my old habits and ways of thinking but when I do succeed, I see so many positive changes that make me want to continue trying.

1️⃣ Give. When we help others we find a deeper satisfaction.

2️⃣ Simplify. Less accumulation means less worry.

3️⃣ Meditate. It changes everything.

4️⃣ Listen to the wise. Everybody has something to teach and learning from the wise is the best gift we can give ourselves.

5️⃣ Be mindful. Mindfulness is free of judgment which allows us to truly listen and hear without evaluating.

6️⃣ Embrace change. Change is the law of the universe. As soon as we’re able to accept it, peace flows.

7️⃣ Live in the moment. Life happens NOW.

Have you ever tried yoga? How would you describe its effect on you?

🔸 🔸 🔸 🔸 🔸 🔸 🔸 🔸 🔸

What makes yoga – yoga?

If we tried to break it up, it would be a combination of four rough components:

🔸 The physical – postures, movements, breathing, and relaxation techniques.
🔸 Self-regulatory – the ability to control our stress and emotional responses which leads to psychological wellbeing.
🔸 The sense of mind-body awareness that leads to mindfulness and change of behaviour
🔸 Deeper states that can be transformative and lead to a positive lifestyle and goals.

What I love the most about yoga is how versatile it is.

There are no definitive rules. No rights. No wrongs.

Every one of us has the power to decide which parts of yoga are right for us and which parts are not.

Whether you are only into the physical exercises or love every part of yoga practice, you are free to experience the benefits of this transformative practice.

But don't just listen to me. Try it.

Yoga sucked me in hard! My daughter tells me I’m a restless busy bee and I have to admit that she has a point – a couple of years ago, I decided that I want to learn more about yoga. So I started on a yoga therapy path. For me it's one of those magical things, the one that pulls you in so hard, you don’t ever want to stop learning, practicing, and sharing. I don’t share it nearly enough but I believe that everything needs to happen in its own time. But as I see how stressed and anxious we are these days, I think the time has come.

Reflexology is part of yoga therapy and its beauty is in the simplicity that is so effective. AND you can do it yourself (though, as ever, proceed in the knowledge and with care)!

Reflexology can help when you

☑ Feel stressed or anxious
☑ Have sleep issues
☑ Are suffering from hot flashes
☑ Have painful periods
☑ Lack energy

Here is a little tutorial that focuses specifically on stress:

If you decide to try it out, remember to observe how you feel before you start and then again afterward. Are there any subtle or not so subtle changes? And of course, please share in the comments, I would love to hear from you!

Easter is the time for resurrection. As the nature wakes in the northern hemisphere where I am, so I am sending you lots of love and a wish that we all follow in the footsteps of Mother Earth and resurrect our joy for life, our eternal wisdom and divine light buried deep within each and every one of us.

Happy Easter folks!

P.S. To wake up the power contained within your body, here is a little bunny sun salutation + sequence. Also great for guilt-free Easter lunch 

My entire life I had a distaste for sports. I was in my late 40s when I took up yoga. Completely by accident too – I went to the gym to enjoy the pleasures of swimming pool and steam sauna.

(Un)Fortunately, it happened to be closed for repairs that day. Having gone all that way, it seemed silly to go back home. A yoga class was just about to start so I kind of thought, “what the hell...”. And the rest is history.

But there was a reason for that “what the hell...” attitude. In fact, there were two.

The first reason was my preconceptions about myself and my capabilities. I thought I had to be sporty, flexible, young(er) to even give it a try.

The second reason was what I thought I knew about yoga. What I "knew" made it into something that is "not for me". It’s normal to have ideas about something we have never tried. Afterall, we can't try everything. But do we really KNOW if we’ve never tried?

I’m sharing this story because I meet many people who think they have to be ... (write your own belief) to even give it a try. And sometimes they have an idea about what yoga is and they don’t like that idea. And that’s okay. But trust me, yoga can be whatever you make it to be for you. It can be a simple stretch. It can be a spiritual experience. And everything in between.

To end my trip down memory lane, I would like to share with you the video of this inspiring lady who started yoga in her 90’s! Can you imagine?

Have you tried yoga? What did you think? If you haven’t tried – what is holding you back?

Look at her mental alertness and flexibility of her body!

So many people suffer from Sciatic nerve pain these days. If you want to relieve the pain caused by pinched Sciatica, here are a few things you can do:

☑ Seated hip stretch
☑ Piriformis stretch
☑ Pigeon pose
☑ Self trigger-point therapy with a tennis ball (or a foam roller).

Transform stress and overwhelm into peace and relaxation.

Like many Kundalini mantras, this mantra is written in Gurmukhi.

The meaning of the mantra:

🙏 Guru - the teacher, that which brings us from darkness to light

🙏 Wahe is a word of ecstasy like wow!

🙏 Ram - the infinite

🙏 Das - servant

The mantra can be understood as "great is the wisdom that flows through the one who serves the infinite".

By chanting this mantra, I recognize the infinite as well as the presence of the infinite in me. The experience can be healing, elevating, inspiring but also humbling.

To see the full effect of a mantra, chant it every day for at least 21 days.

At least for me, yogi lifestyle is inextricably linked to eating healthy. On my 10+year path to feeling better – healthier, calmer, more energetic – I have seen the importance of bringing more awareness to how my body reacts to different foods.

It’s quite amazing how much power is in questions like

☑ “how does my body feel?”,
☑ “do I have more or less energy since I introduced/removed this food item to/from my diet?”,
☑ “has there been a shift in how I feel emotionally?”

Unfortunately, it’s not necessarily something we are in the habit of doing – I certainly wasn’t taught to think about food this way. That’s why I want to start this conversation. It’s helped me, maybe it will benefit you too🙂

My superfood of choice today is MORINGA ( benefits range from vitamin overflow to antioxidant properties and reduced cholesterol and diabetes risk).

Since I started adding moringa powder to my morning smoothies, I feel increased levels of energy, which is especially welcome living in the country with a long winter season.

Do you include any superfoods in your diet?
What changes have you observed in how you feel since?

Very curious about personal experiences.

Here is some more information on MORINGA: https://truththeory.com/the-super-food-we-should-all-be-eating-moringa-oleifera/

Mantra meditation is a powerful combination of words. The very basic benefit of mantra meditation is the slowing down of mental activity and thoughts. In other words, it helps you clear your mind. The more profound effect of mantra is the vibratory effect of each of your molecules into the Infinity of the Cosmos.

Sometimes, people are uncomfortable chanting mantras in foreign languages they don't understand (usually Sanskrit). And that is totally okay. You can chant a mantra in your own language. For example: "My life is full of joy".
