Sometimes the hardest part of emotions is not the feeling itself, but our resistance to it.

The RAIN practice offers a gentle way to meet what’s present:

Recognize what you feel.
Allow the experience to be there.
Investigate with curiosity and kindness.
Nurture non-identification: remembering that emotions move through you, they are not who you are.

We can CHOOSE to recognise our inner weather and meet its messages with understanding and compassion.

Which step of RAIN feels most supportive for you right now? 🌧️

Act 3: REMEMBERING:

The moment I stopped following every thought, I detached from the stories. The conscious and unconscious stories that my mind was identifying with:

“I am this. I am that.“
“I am like that because this happened.”
“This should have been different.”
“This is good. I like this. I don’t like that.“
"I want this. I need that.”

Through meditation, I could entirely detach from these attachments.
Through actively staying in stillness, this moment of peace, of nothingness can be understood, extended, and embodied.
Silence.
Full presence.
Full-ness.
Wholeness.

In that space, present stories dissolve.
Past stories dissolve.
Future projections dissolve.
The noise quiets.
The ego, the identifications, the attachments to outcomes dissolve.

So yes, coming back to the beginning of Part 1 (thank you if you’re still here):
I DID find something.

Act 4: ABUNDANCE:

Because it was winter, the Ashram was almost empty.
This allowed for deep immersion with my Self and one-on-one teachings in Yoga, Vedic philosophy, Meditation, Pranayama (the science of breath), and Ayurvedic study.

I practiced and explored outer Yoga (Asanas) and inner Yoga, the journey from the physical body toward the innermost Self, as described in the Upanishads, 4 hours each day.
3–4 hours of meditation each day.
Daily study and embodied experience of breathwork.

Guidance from Himalayan teachers whose presence alone teaches more than words ever could.

I found steady stillness.
Remembrance.
Inner knowledge and wisdom.
Embodied Presence, resonating as one with the Universe.

Nothingness that contains everything.

Gratitude.
Inner plenitude.

And I deeply hope to pass on what was lived, not as concepts, but as felt experience and deep understanding 🤍

Thank you for taking the time to read.
May it meet you where you are.
With love and deep gratitude to you.
Namaste. 🙏🏼

FROM RESISTANCE TO SURRENDER:

I didn’t go to India to find my Self.
Nor to find enlightenment.
The purpose wasn’t to FIND anything.
I simply knew something was waiting for me there,
so I followed the calling and booked a flight
to a traditional Vedic Ashram in the Himalayas.

My weather app promised 20°C and sunshine.
Reality delivered 2°C, no indoor heating, no hot water, bucket showers, scarce electricity, windows?
I stared into my suitcase with despair.
How will I ever get through this staying a whole month.

It’s not my first time in an ashram, but in that moment, all I was focused on were my expectations that were not met.

Act 1: RESISTANCE:

I resisted the freezing cold. The conditions. The 50+ wild dogs barking all night long without interruption.
I questioned my decision to come here.
Then, very efficiently, I questioned almost every life decision I had ever made - because obviously THAT helps 🙄

My thoughts were on fire.
Telling me this was a light-headed idea.
That I never think things through.
That my body doesn’t do well with cold.
Abort mission and fly to sunny Goa!

Act 2: SURRENDER:

The 3rd day, something shifted.
I surrendered.
Completely.

Body freezing — ok.
No warm water — ok.
No comfort — no problem.

Nothing outside had changed.
But my relationship to it had.
I wasn’t frustrated because of the circumstances.
I was frustrated because I was fighting reality.

My mind had been producing a constant stream of wants, unmet expectations, judgments, resistance, projections.
And I had MISTAKEN these thoughts for truth,
when in fact, they were just thoughts.

The nature of the mind is to produce thoughts endlessly.
Trying to stop it or fight it is futile and not the point.
Trying to stop identifying with it is.

Here is what we often forget:
We are not our thoughts.
We are not even the thinker of the thoughts.

➡️ WE ARE THE AWARENESS IN WHICH THOUGHTS ARISE.

When my attention rested there instead of chasing thought after thought, it naturally became quiet.
And what unfolded next gently led me to REMEMBRANCE.

Thank you for taking your time to read this 🤍🙏🏼

Heartfelt words like these are a reminder of the sacredness of this work.
I hold deep gratitude for the courageous souls who allow me to walk beside them on their healing journey.
Healing is never about fixing — it’s about remembering, softening, returning to Self.
Thank you, Lisa, for your trust and your openness. 🌿

Anxiety doesn’t make you weak, it means your nervous system is doing what it was designed to do: protect you.
But protection isn’t always clarity.
And fear isn’t always truth.

This post is a reminder that you can learn to speak to your anxiety with kindness and strength.
To ground yourself, reframe the story, and reclaim your power.

🧘🏻‍♀️You are not your anxious thoughts.
You are the one who notices them. And that noticing is your way back home.

Save this for the next time your mind feels loud.
And if this resonates, share it with someone who might need a gentler voice today 🤍

So often, we rush through the days, the hours, the minutes, believing that peace, joy, or clarity live just beyond the next moment, the next step, the next goal.
That happiness waits on the other side of accomplishment.

But life isn’t waiting for us at the finish line,
IT IS RIGHT HERE:
in this breath, this step, this quiet unfolding.

There is no condition you must meet to arrive.
THE JOURNEY IS THE ARRIVAL.
And how much you expand in the process… THAT is the true success.

It’s not about how polished the story sounds, or how perfect the outcome looks.
What matters is WHO YOU ARE WHILE YOU ARE WALKING.

No single moment defines your whole story.
You are not behind. You are not lost.
You are becoming - slowly, intentionally, sacredly.

Growth invites us to walk differently.
Not to chase… but to be present.
To tune in, rather than speed up.
To honor the pace of the soul over the pressure of the world.

To become more conscious of how we move through life: with presence, with purpose, with alignment.
And that includes being okay with not always knowing where you’re headed, only deeply connected to HOW you are walking.

So I always ask myself - and maybe you too:

✨ Is this path aligned with my truth in this moment?
✨ Am I moving guided by trust, or driven by fear?
✨ Am I walking my own path, or someone else’s?
✨ Am I connected, grounded in the frequency of presence - my presence.
✨ And what would it mean to walk from a place of trust, grace, and grounded power?

The path doesn’t have to be perfect.
It only needs to be yours. And it is allowed to change, grow, evolve.

So many of us were taught to look at ourselves through a lens of “not enough.” We try to fix what’s broken, perfect what’s flawed, or hide what’s messy.

But what if you stopped trying to fix yourself, and started seeing yourself as a meaningful, unfolding project?

In Therapeutic Coaching, I support clients in shifting from:
• Self-criticism → Self-curiosity
• Perfectionism → Progress
• Survival mode → Sustainable growth

This is not about becoming someone else. It’s about becoming more your Self - with clarity, compassion, and conscious intention.

Because you are the most important project you’ll ever take on.
And you are allowed to take your time.

We all carry deep-rooted fears, often formed in childhood that quietly shape how we show up in life, love, and even our sense of self.

These fears aren’t flaws. They are survival strategies your nervous system once needed. But now, they may be holding you back from the full aliveness, freedom, and authenticity your soul longs for.

If you feel driven to work through these patterns more deeply, I’d love to support you in that process.
