🗣️ What if one day we could screen for type 2 diabetes simply… using our voice?
We believe it’s possible!

Today, 1 in 2 people living with type 2 diabetes worldwide 🌍 don’t even know they have it. A striking number, considering how huge, and still growing, the global burden of diabetes is.

👉 At DDP Lab, we’re working hard on a fast, scalable and non-invasive screening solution, combining the power of voice and AI.

🎥 The French national TV show “Le Mag de la Santé” visited us at the Luxembourg Institute of Health to get a behind-the-scenes look at our research on vocal biomarkers.

In this video, you’ll hear from Dr. Abir Elbéji and Dr. Mégane Pizzimenti, who share insights into this research project and its challenges.

Happy New Year from the entire Colive Voice team! 🎉

To kick off 2026 on a strong note, we’re excited to take Colive Voice to the next level and invite you to take part in our research on health and the voice. Our project explores how the voice can provide insights into health, and we’ve recently added a new branch: Colive Diabetes, focused specifically on studying diabetes.

🎯 Study objective
We are collecting voice samples with the aim of developing, in the future, an application designed to support people living with diabetes in their daily lives; for example, by helping with symptom monitoring, well-being, or early warning signals.

How to participate
- Complete a short online questionnaire
- Make a few simple voice recordings (reading a text or describing a picture)
- Participate anonymously and at your own pace

🌟 Everyone can help!
We are studying diabetes as well as other health conditions, including cancer, and we are always looking for voice contributions,even from healthy participants. Every voice helps advance research and create solutions for everyone.

We are grateful to ONG Santé Diabète for their support in recruiting participants for Colive Voice!

With their help, we were able to reach and include more than one hundred people living with diabetes from Mali. But the journey doesn’t stop here, ONG Santé Diabète has more inclusion planned in the pipeline!

📣We are thrilled to announce that Colive Voice is partnering with ONG Santé Diabète 🙌 which will work with us to include people with and collect voice samples in Mali. 🌍
Our goal is to facilitate screening and diagnosis of the disease using just a few samples of a patient's voice.🗣
As we continue to collect voice samples and analyze the data, we are optimistic that new voice-based telehealth tools will be developed, providing easier and cheaper access to healthcare for thousands of patients 🩺around the world.
