Some days, yoga for me means admitting that all I need is to turn off my phone. Other days, my yoga practice is full of heat and asana.
I recently read Begin With You by .velzeboer . My main takeaway is that we all have the resources and energy to feel aligned with how, where, and why we work. Work is here to help us grow, feel needed, and thrive. However, it doesn’t come from accepting the status quo, but rather from turning off the background noise (e.g., headphones, YouTube, radio) and tuning into ourselves.
Yoga asana practice, followed by rest or journaling, can help with that. If nothing else, while we are practicing yoga asana, our hands are busy with the movement, so we have no time to scroll or type.
Enjoy Monday evening with yourself and see what happens!
