On April 9, 2025, WSWCF and , (FISO) signed a memorandum of understanding regarding mutual assistance and work to integrate calisthenics under an Olympic Multi-Sport Federation.

FISO was recognised by GAISF, AIMS and all Olympic and international sports federations in 2021 as the world governing body and international federation for Ninja Competitions, Obstacle Racing and Adventure Racing.

After their first face-to-face meeting in the Olympic Museum, Lausanne, Switzerland, June 2024, during Hosts & Federations Summit, WSWCF President Mr. Rolands Kikors and FISO President Mr. Ian Adamson agreed un mutual cooperation in order to help each other to bring their sports to Olympic Games one day.

Within the signed MOU, it was agreed to establish a unified international multi-sport federation (IF) as the international umbrella federation and world governing body for Calisthenics, Ninja Competitions, Obstacle Racing, and Adventure Racing.

WSWCF would retain its autonomy regarding governance of the calisthenics discipline under the discretion of its current management and structure.

In March 14-15 FISO 12th Congress took place, where a historic vote regarding integration under UIPM has been achieved, establishing a unification of Obstacle Sports in the Olympic movement.

Obstacle under UIPM will be in LA 2028 Olympic Games.

The Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) is the world governing body of the Olympic sport of Modern Pentathlon and five other multi-discipline sports – Laser Run, Tetrathlon, Triathle, Biathle and World Schools Biathlon. And now also for Obstacle sports.

Why it matters for WSWCF and global calisthenics community? We are next in line and have already started to prepare for calisthenics integration under Olympic movement. Now, it is time for our national members to get ready and execute recognition of calisthenics as an official sport in their national countries.

WSWCF sincerely congratulates all of the Obstacle Sports community, and Mr. Ian Adamson for this historical achievement and wishes good luck in the upcoming Summer Olympics 2028!

THE TRUTH BEHIND THE POSTPONEMENT OF THE WORLD CALISTHENICS CHAMPIONSHIP 2026.

Official hosts of the competition: ASD E-agle Association and Fe.Na.L.C. – Federazione Nazionale Liberi Circoli.

Their responsibility was to organize the competition and secure the financing. WSWCF licensed rights to host the competition.
• In February we noticed that both hosts lack the following: organization, local operations, accommodation, logistics and visa procedures. It was an empty shell organization.
• Until March there was no information from EAGLE and FENALC regarding accommodation packages.
• EAGLE and FENALC tried to force athletes buy only single package in amount of EUR 1’180 contrary to agreed various packages and price ranges.
• We informed our members immediately and requested not to buy any tickets or accommodations. We rejected proposal by EAGLE and FENALC.
• This package was overpriced by 78% against standard rates. We could not let our athletes pay this much.
• EAGLE and FENALC asked WSWCF to pay 65’000 euros for the competition organizing.
• In March EAGLE and FENALC stated to us that they have no financing for the competition.
• We could not let that happen and pulled the plug immediately.
• The World Championship has NOT been cancelled. It has been officially postponed.
• The World Championship is being rescheduled to take place in Riga, Latvia in August 2026. Further information will follow. We are working to make it happen.
• Regarding travel and accommodation expenses, WSWCF is actively reviewing all cases and working on appropriate solutions. No expenses shall go to waste.
• On 15.04.2026. WSWCF has called for an extraordinary meeting of all associated members.
• Regarding competition “ALL NATIONS” by Calilinkup scheduled in Rome on June 13-14, 2026. It is NOT an official World Championship event and is NOT sanctioned by us. We strongly advise athletes and national members to carefully verify the legitimacy of events before participation, including their association with EAGLE and FENALC.

Official Statement: World Championship Update

Dear athletes, members, delegates, and partners.

We would like to inform you that, following close and constructive conversation with the Local Organising Committee (LOC), the World Championship originally planned for 2026 in Rome will be rescheduled.

Together with the LOC, we have carefully reviewed the scale and complexity of delivering a world-class event of this level. In order to ensure that all organisational, operational, and community elements are fully aligned with both the Federation’s standards and the LOC’s ambitions, additional preparation time is required.

This decision reflects our shared commitment to quality, sustainability, and delivering an exceptional experience for athletes, delegations, and the global community. We would like to acknowledge the strong dedication and ongoing efforts of the LOC, who continue to work closely with us toward this goal.

We are therefore working in partnership with the LOC on the opportunity to host the World Championship in Rome in 2027.

We are confident that this extended timeline will allow us to realise the full vision of the event and create a truly outstanding championship.

In parallel, we are currently exploring options for the 2026 competition calendar, including the possibility of hosting the World Championship 2026 bit later this year in Latvia! Further details will be communicated once confirmed.

Important Notice:
We kindly advise all athletes, delegates, partners, and stakeholders not to make any travel or accommodation arrangements until an official confirmation is issued by the Federation.

We sincerely appreciate the continued understanding, flexibility, and support of our community and partners.

We look forward to sharing more updates soon and to welcoming you to an exceptional World Championship in the near future.

Sincerely,
WSWCF

World Street Workout and Calisthenics Federation took part in the annual TEAMS Europe conference, March 16-19, 2026, in Birmingham, UK! Our President Rolands Kikors represented us.

During the event we had a chance to establish new partnerships regarding hospitality of athletes and fans, strengthening bidding applications, merchandising, international sponsorship insights and new host city and country destinations for our upcoming competitions.

Moreover, it is not only about our own sport, but also about extending partnerships with other international sports federations and potential business partners. On this note we had very insightful meetings with Nalain Naidoo, founding partner of Swiss Quality Events, Aleksander Kravanja , the President of Federation for International Foot Golf, Mr. Rohit Haldania, the General Secretary of International Kho Kho Federation, Sherry Payne, the Broadcasting&Marketing Coordinator at World Rowing.

Special gratitude to Fiona Chung , Jason Gewirtz and Nicole Goddeyne for once again making a successful event and making the world of sports brighter for everyone involved.

The World Street Workout and Calisthenics Federation (WSWCF) visited The Bahamas, Nassau February 13-16.
WSWCF President Rolands Kikors received a special invitation from Atlantis Bahamas, the Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation of The Bahamas and the National Sports Authority regarding an international calisthenics event in The Bahamas, Nassau – Pan-American Calisthenics Confederation Cup.
Delegation of The Bahamas consisted of the following representatives:
1. Leonardo Dean, The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation;
2. Jevone Williams, The National Sports Authority, Bahamas;
3. Martin Burrows, Andre Rogers National Baseball Stadium.
A special occasion was the meeting with the Minister Mr. Hon. Mario Keith Bowleg of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sports together with the rest of the mentioned delegation in the Andre Rogers National Baseball Stadium.
Alongside discussion regarding the competition, the WSWCF visited several potential venues, of which the most appropriate option agreed was the Thomas A Robinson National Stadium. The venue itself not only has exotic and memorable views, but also is very special with the Walk of Fame of The Bahamas, which is planned to be the entrance to the event to make this occasion even more special. The Walk of Fame features images of The Bahamas’ most distinguished former athletes, creating a symbolic and inspiring entrance for the event. This stadium is also famous with holding events for Muhammad Ali (Boxing), Usain Bolt (Sprint) and also Bob Marley (Singing).
As for the accommodations and connecting activities, Atlantis Bahamas located in Paradise Island, would be the perfect place for a stay throughout competition days for those who want to experience offering premium leisure, dining, and marine experiences, (Dolphins, Sharks, Turtles and many more). Special thanks to Mr. Douglas Caldwell for accommodating our President Rolands Kikors in this unique place throughout the three days of visit in The Bahamas.
WSWCF is looking forward to continue the expansion and global recognition of calisthenics around the world.
