From March 7-8, Gunta Ušpele, CEO of the Latvian Health Tourism Cluster, together with leading cluster reproductive and gynecological clinics: Klīnika EGV Clinic reproductive specialists and gynecologists Dr. Oksana Babula and iVF RIGA Clinic Director Jeļena Silkalna, along with Head of Customr Service Agneta Kangro, will participate in the leading European infertility exhibition "Wish for a Baby!" in Berlin with their own Health Travel Cluster Stand 310.

We are proud of our colleagues, cluster members, the outstanding surgeons at the Latvian Microsurgery Center(LATVIJAS MIKROĶIRURĢIJAS CENTRS), who performed a complex operation on a patient from Estonia with a brachial plexus injury. The surgery was performed by the outstanding surgeons Dr. med. Mārtiņš Kapickis, assisted by Dr. Kristo Kask from Estonia and Dr. Iveta Beinaroviča.
Dr. Kask, President of the Estonian Hand Surgery Association, visited the Latvian Microsurgery Center to deepen his knowledge and gain experience in brachial plexus reconstruction surgery. Dr. Inguna Krustiņa ensured safe anesthesia.
Brachial plexus reconstruction surgeries are among the most complex in the field of microsurgery.
They require a very precise understanding of nerve structures, microscopic techniques, and a highly skilled team of surgeons.
Such operations are performed relatively rarely, as shoulder plexus injuries are complex and each case is unique.
We are delighted that the Latvian Microsurgery Center is sharing its knowledge and experience to help patients regain arm function and improve their quality of life throughout the Baltic region.

Latvian Microsurgery Centre is one of the largest plastic surgery clinics in the Baltic States, offering aesthetic, reconstructive and hand surgery services.

Training courses on the use of water walking in medical rehabilitation have been held in Jūrmala, Latvia!
The training was organized by the Latvian Health Tourism Cluster with the aim of developing and improving innovative medical rehabilitation programs offered by Latvian rehabilitation centers and resort hotels.
Training for Latvian physiotherapists was implemented by the European Hiking Federation representatives: Sophie Chipon (European AquaWalking Instructor) and Natahlie Baert (European AquaWalking Coach), it attended by 8 physiotherapists.
The intensive training took place over four days from September 9 to 12, including theoretical training at the Jaunķemeri resort rehabilitation center and practical training on Jaunķemeri beach and in the Gulf of Riga.
After the training, it is planned to develop and improve medical rehabilitation programs in the following areas:
✅️ Active and healthy Ageing in Jurmala through Aqua Walking
✅️ Aqua Walking in Clinic Dzintari: implementing AquaWalking in the mental health rehabilitation
✅️ AquaWalking for pregnant women and young mothers at the Rehabilitation Center Jaunkemeri
