China has reportedly achieved reversal of Type 2 diabetes in lab tests by reprogramming a patient’s own blood cells. Instead of using insulin, scientists transformed blood-derived cells into pancreatic beta-like cells capable of producing insulin naturally.
The approach involves stem cell therapy and genetic engineering, allowing the body to regenerate its insulin-producing capability. If successful in clinical trials, this would eliminate lifelong dependency on insulin injections.
It’s a groundbreaking advancement in regenerative medicine and gives hope to millions of diabetes patients around the world.
