Africa’s healthtech sector is entering a phase of rapid growth.
In 2025, startups across the continent raised over $750M, showing strong investor confidence. Global venture capital funds, private equity firms, and development finance institutions are actively deploying capital into scalable solutions, from AI diagnostics to digital hospital platforms.
Notable deals include :
• Helium Health (Nigeria) : $50M raised, backed by General Atlantic and Tencent
• MYDAWA (Kenya) : $9.6M raised, supported by IFU, Alta Semper Capital, AAIC Investment, Creadev, Ohara Pharmaceutical Co.
• hearX (South Africa) : $100M+ transaction led by Patient Square Capital
