🧪 pH: the invisible value that makes the difference in your crop.
In vertical farming, every detail is under control.
But there's one that's often overlooked: the pH of the nutrient solution.
pH regulates nutrient absorption:
✅ If it's correct → the plant absorbs what it needs.
❌ If it's unbalanced → even with all the nutrients present, the plant can't absorb them.
💥 A pH out of range is like having a full refrigerator but not being able to open the door.
Let's take lettuce again: it needs a pH between 5.5 and 6.5.
Below or above, the absorption of key elements like calcium, magnesium, or phosphorus is blocked. The result? Slowed growth, nutritional deficiencies, poor production.
🔍 This is why in vertical farms, pH is measured every day with digital tools like probe pH meters.
And it adjusts automatically or manually by adding acids or bases to the nutrient solution.
🌿 In a high-precision system, even an "invisible" value like this can make the difference between success and failure.
