Myth: You’d know if you had a hormone imbalance.
Fact: It isn’t always easy for people to tell when their hormones are out of balance.¹

Feeling tired, not sleeping well or finding your mood and motivation dipping are things most of us experience from time to time, and it’s easy to see them as just part of life.¹,²

But because these symptoms aren’t specific, it can take time to recognise when hormones may be playing a role.²

If you’ve been experiencing changes in your energy, mood or wellbeing, it could be worth speaking with a healthcare professional to get the support you need.

Have you ever ignored symptoms thinking it was just stress?

“So… when are you having kids?”

Does this question sound a bit too familiar?

For many couples, seeing friends and family over the festive season comes with more than gifts and tinsel – it comes with uncomfortable questions and assumptions.

Trying to conceive can be a challenging journey, and this time of year can feel especially difficult for some.

If you’re going through this yourself, know that you’re not alone. And if someone you know is experiencing fertility struggles, compassion and care can go a long way.

As we get older, changes in our health can affect us all.¹ But here’s the thing: most couples don’t actually talk about it.

That’s where our questionnaires come in.
One for women, one for men.

Quick to complete and designed to open up conversations you might not know how to start.

It’s less about the questions, and more about the conversations – learning from each other and moving forward together.

Ready to give it a go? Visit the link in our bio to take the midlife women’s and men’s health questionnaires today and see where the conversation leads.

Did you know that menopause can be triggered by surgery, as well as age?¹

When people think of the menopause transition, it is often associated with midlife.

However, depending on a person’s health journey, it can happen much earlier in life – after a surgery, for example.¹

When the ovaries are removed, hormone levels drop very quickly, which triggers menopause.¹

Because of this sudden drop in hormones, the symptoms of surgical menopause can be more severe.²

This is why support and understanding are so important during the menopause transition.

Menopause is a deeply personal experience. If you feel comfortable, you’re welcome to share your story in the comments below.

Your words could offer support and understanding to others going through the same experience.

Besins Healthcare was recently a sponsor and participant at the T4L Congress for healthcare professionals, led by Dr. Abraham Morgentaler, gathering experts in testosterone therapy and men’s health from across the globe.

The event reinforced the crucial role of testosterone in mens health and educational sessions including how to test and treat testosterone deficiency effectively. The education also highlighted landmark research, helping clarify longstanding clinical questions and concerns.

This year’s agenda addressed broader men’s health topics, in addition to the role of T. With CME-accredited training (Continuing Medical Education), the congress served as a premier professional development platform.

Our participation allowed us to deepen our knowledge, strengthen connections with healthcare professionals, and reinforce our commitment to advancing evidence-based healthcare for men worldwide.

We look forward to applying the insights gained to continue supporting healthcare providers and improving patient care.

Myth: Only women experience hormone-related mood swings.
Fact: Men can experience hormone-related mood swings too – especially when testosterone levels drop.¹

When testosterone levels fall, men may notice changes in mood.¹ In fact, testosterone deficiency is estimated to affect 1 in 20 men over the age of 40.¹

Too often, these changes are blamed on stress or simply getting older, but low testosterone levels might be the culprit.

If you have noticed unexpected changes in your mood, it may be worth speaking to a healthcare professional.

If you are concerned about someone who might have low testosterone, offer your support and encourage them to seek advice from a healthcare professional.

Each year, over 13 million babies are born too soon. Children who are born prematurely can go on to have lifelong health challenges and premature birth is a leading cause of death in children under five.¹

This World Prematurity Day, we recognise the strength of preterm babies and the resilience of their families, as well as the urgent need to improve awareness, care and support worldwide.

Here’s how we can all help:
- Share trustworthy information to help others understand the challenges that preterm babies and their families face
- Offer support to families of preterm babies by listening, understanding and providing support where it’s needed
- Advocate for advancements in care and scientific progress to improve outcomes for preterm infants

Together, we can do our part to give every baby a stronger start.

The Testosterone for Life (T4L) Congress is back in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from 7th – 8th November 2025.

Over two days, experts from around the world will share the latest findings and explore new ways to understand and manage men’s health.

Now in its second year, this event offers a fantastic opportunity for healthcare professionals to explore fresh ideas and continue advancing their medical education.

We’ll be following the conversations and adding our voice to discussions about the future of men’s health. Please note that this congress is for healthcare professionals only.

Did you know that, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 1 in 6 people experience fertility challenges during their lifetime? ¹

As more people start families later in life, it’s important to remember that factors beyond age – such as lifestyle and hormone health in both women and men – can also affect fertility.²,³

World Fertility Day exists to start these conversations early by making sure people feel informed about their reproductive health, whatever their life plans are.

If you are concerned about your fertility, we encourage you to speak to your healthcare provider for further help. What’s one thing you wish you’d known about fertility sooner?

Share your thoughts and be part of the conversation to help raise awareness this World Fertility Day.
