📣 BREAKING NOTICE: Spain Implements EU Entry/Exit System (EES)

As of April 10, 2026, 📍 Spain has fully implemented the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), following its phased rollout across 29 European countries. Under this new system, Spanish border authorities have transitioned from manual passport stamping to a fully digital registration process for non-EU travelers.

Key measures now in place in Spain:
• Replacement of passport stamps with electronic records of entry, exit, and refusals
• Collection of biometric data (facial image and fingerprints) at the border
• Registration of personal data from the travel document used
• Application to non-EU and non-Schengen nationals staying up to 90 days within any 180-day period

⚠️ This transition may impact arrival procedures, processing times, and yacht crew movements, particularly during the initial phase of full operation.
