Prof. Henk Stam is a Rehabilitation Physician since 1984. He was head and chairman of the Dept of Rehabilitation Medicine at Erasmus University Medical Center between 1991 and 2018.

He was the first president of the European Society of PRM.

Since 2016 he is chief editor of the Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine.

In 2018 he published an educational book on Ethical Dilemma’s in PRM .

Currently he is Past President of the European Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine and chief -editor of Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine.

His clinical expertise is related to Spasticity, Hand & wrist rehabilitation, Shock wave therapy and Sports Medicine.

Prof Stam is (co-) author of about 330 peer-reviewed articles and supervisor of 48 PhD theses.

Presently he is medical director of Hand and Wrist Rehabilitation, a chain of private rehabilitation institutions.
