Can anyone relate? When a set of caregivers rolls on in and presents their child/ kid as needing some help, but you realise once a family is seen, that yup… the issues start to seem like they may lie with those other than the child. So this is what we think: interpersonal relationship issues can intensify and impact those around us, even children (more so). Sources of conflict like sexual intimacy issues, communication problems and infidelity tend to be insidious and can slowly eat away and gnaw at our insecurities. If you got a young one close by, they can easily become the target of our shortcomings and project them onto them. Frustrations can conveniently be rationalised and lashed out upon them, couching one’s inner stirrings to be a result of their undesirable behaviours or misdemeanours. Gently, gently, careful… you just might become emotionally abusive and negligent. Recognise that pattern? Let’s take care of what may be a problem in your life. Look us up, speak with us, and you may better understand what has been lost along the way. Happy Valentine’s Day!
