Sot, në Ditën Botërore të Kancerit, nisim fushatën e këtij viti me imazhin e Altinës, si një kujtesë e fuqishme se kujdesi i vërtetë fillon nga vetja.

Altina është një histori suksesi në luftën kundër kancerit të gjirit, histori guximi, qëndrueshmërie dhe shprese për çdo grua që po përballet me këtë sfidë. Altina është inspirim!
Sepse kanceri nuk është vetëm një diagnozë. Është histori, forcë, ndjeshmëri dhe njerëz.

Секоја година во светот околу 500.000 жени се дијагностицираат со карцином на грлото на матката. Овој карцином е една од водечките причини за смртност кај жените.
ПАП-тестот овозможува рано откривање на преканцерозни промени, а навременото лекување го спречува развојот на ракот.
HPV вакцината е сигурен и ефикасен начин за превенција од најчестиот причинител на овој карцином. Комбинацијата од скрининг и вакцинација значително го намалува ризикот.

Çdo vit në botë rreth 500.000 gra diagnostikohen me kancer të qafës së mitrës, një nga shkaqet kryesore të vdekshmërisë tek gratë.
PAP-testi ndihmon në zbulimin e hershëm të ndryshimeve prekanceroze dhe parandalon zhvillimin e kancerit.
Vaksina HPV është një mënyrë e sigurt dhe efektive për mbrojtje nga shkaktari kryesor i këtij kanceri.

A piece of my speech from the Symposium:

The Power of Policy:
We are no longer in an awareness crisis.
We are in a policy crisis.
Policy is not just a set of rules written on paper. It is the blueprint for the lives of our people.
This is not just a health issue.
It is a justice issue.
It is a policy failure.
And yes — it is a moral failure.

I dream of a country where a woman finds a lump — and instead of panic, she feels protected.
She knows where to go.
She is seen immediately.
She is diagnosed quickly.
She is treated without begging, without borrowing, without breaking.

We will not stop until the word “too late” disappears from every breast cancer story…and is replaced by two better ones:
SHE LIVED!!!
