လေထုအရည်အသွေး အညွှန်းကိန်းဆိုသည်မှာ လေထုထဲတွင်ရှိသော အညစ်အကြေး ပမာဏကို အများပြည်သူသို့ ခန့်မှန်း ထုတ်ပြန်ရန် U.S EPA မှ အသုံးပြုသော ကိရိယာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ AQI ကို အရောင်ဖြင့် ပြသလေ့ရှိပါတယ်။

အကောင်းဆုံး လေထု အနေအထားသည် အစိမ်းရောင် ဖြစ်ပြီး အဆိုးဆုံးမှာ အနီရောင်ဖြစ် ပါသည်။
