VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Tai Youth Organization is a leading active Shan Ethnic Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to enhance the capacities of youth groups to promote community mobilization and resilience among Shan communities. TYO aims to Enhance the socio-economic livelihood and healthcare of the community , Improve job opportunities and access to higher education by leveraging local knowledge and skills developed and held by public interests , support the creation of an environmentally responsible agricultural market , promote cohesiveness and harmony among Shan State’s youth through social activities and awareness-raising and preserve local culture and literature. TYO is looking for dynamic team players in the following positions for our (community development projects) in Southern Shan State.
1. Position : Engineer
Duration : Full time for the duration of the project (January to December 2024)
Location : Based in Taunggyi with travel to project sites in other townships in Southern Shan State
Requirement : AGTI / B.tech / B.E (civil) with background of community-based infrastructure development. Must be fluent in Burmese and Shan (reading, writing, listening and speaking) with knowledge and understanding of Shan context. Must be able to travel to project sites in the project areas in Southern Shan State

2. Position : Finance Manager
Duration : Full time for the duration of the project (January to December 2024)
Location : Taunggyi, Southern Shan State
Requirement : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) with minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the healthcare or nonprofit sector. Must be fluent in Burmese and Shan (reading, writing, listening and speaking).
