Commemorating International Day of the Girls Child was organized at No. 1 State High School, North Dagon Township on 13 October 2025.
School teachers and high school students participated in the event.
Talks were given on “Empowering girls through education “ and “Role of boys in girls’ empowerment by AHF Country Director and Assistant Director of MRH from Yangon Region Health Department gave health talk on “Youth and Reproductive Health “.

The AHF Asia Bureau Meeting 2025 was successfully completed with fruitful discussions and commitments. It was held in Bangkok from October 8 to 10, 2025, under the leadership of Sarath Chhim,
Dr. Sarath Chhim, Asia Bureau Chief.
The event was organized under the direction and support of AHF Global, represented by AHF President Michael Weinstein, along with Senior Vice President Peter Reis, Board Secretary Cynthia Davis, Dr. Jorge Saavedra, Executive Director of the AHF Public Health Institute, and Marisa Nilchavee, Chief of Staff, who were honored guests at the meeting.
Dr. Yugang Bao, Deputy Asia Bureau Chief, together with Country Directors and Country Managers from 10 countries, actively participated in in-depth discussions.
The meeting brought effective strategies and plans to improve activities as well as participants’ commitment will lead to the benefits for our patients in future.

ကိုယ့်ချစ်သူ HIV ပိုးရှိပြီး ကိုယ်က ပိုးမရှိတဲ့ (Serodiscordant Couple လို့ခေါ်တဲ့) စုံတွဲတွေအတွက် ရောဂါပိုး မကူးအောင် ကာကွယ်နည်းလမ်းများစွာ ရှိပါတယ်။

ရောဂါပိုးမကူးအောင် အထိရောက်ဆုံး ကာကွယ်နည်းလမ်းတွေကို ပေါင်းစပ်ပြီး သုံးစွဲသင့်ပါတယ်။

အဓိက ကာကွယ်ရေး နည်းလမ်းများ
၁။ HIV ပိုးရှိသူအတွက် ဆေးဝါးကုသခြင်း
(ART - Antiretroviral Therapy)
Undetectable = Untransmittable (U=U)
HIV ပိုးရှိသူဟာ ဆရာဝန် ညွှန်ကြားတဲ့အတိုင်း ART ဆေးဝါးတွေကို ပုံမှန်သောက်သုံးပြီး၊ သွေးထဲမှာ HIV ပိုးပမာဏ (Viral Load) ကို စစ်လို့ မတွေ့နိုင်လောက်အောင် နည်းသွားပြီ (Undetectable) ဆိုရင်၊ လိင်ဆက်ဆံခြင်းကတစ်ဆင့် အခြားသူကို လုံးဝနီးပါး (ထိရောက်စွာ မကူးနိုင်) တော့ပါဘူး။
ဒါဟာ အခြားသူကို ပိုးမကူးအောင် ကာကွယ်ရာမှာ အထိရောက်ဆုံး နည်းလမ်းပါပဲ။

၂။ HIV ပိုးမရှိသူအတွက် ကြိုတင်ကာကွယ်ဆေး
(PrEP - Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis)
HIV ပိုးမရှိသူ (သင်ကိုယ်တိုင်) က HIV ကူးစက်ခံရနိုင်ခြေကို လျှော့ချဖို့အတွက် နေ့စဉ်သောက်ရတဲ့ ဆေးတစ်မျိုးပါပဲ။
PrEP ကို စနစ်တကျ မှန်မှန် သောက်သုံးရင် လိင်ဆက်ဆံမှုကနေ HIV ပိုးကူးစက်နိုင်ခြေကို ၉၉% အထိ လျှော့ချပေးနိုင်ပါတယ်။
သင့်အနေနဲ့ ဆရာဝန်နဲ့ တိုင်ပင်ပြီး PrEP သောက်သုံးဖို့ စဉ်းစားသင့်ပါတယ်။

၃။ ကွန်ဒုံး (Condom) အသုံးပြုခြင်း
လိင်ဆက်ဆံတိုင်း (ပါးစပ်၊ မိန်းမကိုယ်၊ စအို) ကွန်ဒုံးကို မှန်ကန်စွာ အသုံးပြုခြင်းဟာ HIV အပါအဝင် အခြား လိင်မှတစ်ဆင့် ကူးစက်တတ်တဲ့ ရောဂါများ (STIs) ကို ကာကွယ်ပေးနိုင်တဲ့ အရေးကြီးတဲ့ နည်းလမ်းတစ်ခုပါပဲ။
ART ဆေးသောက်သုံးပြီး Undetectable ဖြစ်နေရင်တောင် ကွန်ဒုံးသုံးတာက လုံခြုံရေးကို ပိုမိုခိုင်မာစေပါတယ်။

အခြား ထပ်ဆောင်း အကြံပြုချက်များ‼️

ပုံမှန် ကျန်းမာရေးစစ်ဆေးမှုများ ခံယူပါ
ပိုးရှိသူ ချစ်သူဟာ ART ဆေးသောက်ပြီး Viral Load ကို ပုံမှန်စစ်ဆေးကာ ထိန်းချုပ်ထားဖို့ လိုအပ်ပါတယ်။
ပိုးမရှိသူ (သင်) ဟာလည်း သင့်ကျန်းမာရေး အခြေအနေကို ပုံမှန်စစ်ဆေးဖို့ (HIV ပိုးနဲ့ အခြား STIs များ) ဆရာဝန်နဲ့ ချိန်းဆိုသင့်ပါတယ်။

လိင်မှတစ်ဆင့် ကူးစက်ရောဂါများ (STIs) ကို ကုသပါ
လိင်မှတစ်ဆင့် ကူးစက်ရောဂါတွေရှိနေရင် HIV ပိုးကူးစက်နိုင်ခြေကို ပိုမို မြင့်တက်စေတာမို့ ကုသမှုခံယူပါ။

ကွန်ဒုံး ပြတ်သွားခြင်း သို့မဟုတ် မသုံးမိခြင်းအတွက် အရေးပေါ်ကာကွယ်ဆေး (PEP) ကို သိထားပါ
အကယ်၍ ကွန်ဒုံးပြတ်/ေပါက် သွားတာ ဒါမှမဟုတ် လုံးဝမသုံးမိဘဲ လိင်ဆက်ဆံမိတာမျိုး ဖြစ်ခဲ့ရင်၊ HIV ပိုး ကူးစက်ခံရနိုင်ခြေရှိတဲ့ အခြေအနေဖြစ်ပြီး ၇၂ နာရီအတွင်း အရေးပေါ် ကာကွယ်ဆေး (PEP - Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) သောက်သုံးဖို့ ဆရာဝန် ဒါမှမဟုတ် ကျန်းမာရေးဝန်ထမ်းနဲ့ ချက်ချင်း တိုင်ပင်ဆွေးနွေးပါ။

အရေးကြီးဆုံးအချက်ကတော့ သင်တို့နှစ်ဦးလုံး ကျန်းမာရေးဝန်ထမ်း သို့မဟုတ် HIV အထူးကု ဆရာဝန်နဲ့ ပွင့်ပွင့်လင်းလင်း တိုင်ပင်ဆွေးနွေးကာ ၃လတစ်ကြိမ် ဆေးပုံမှန်စစ်ပြီး၊ သင့်တို့ စုံတွဲအတွက် အသင့်တော်ဆုံးနဲ့ အလုံခြုံဆုံး ကာကွယ်ရေး နည်းလမ်းပေါင်းစပ်မှုကို ရွေးချယ်ကျင့်သုံးဖို့ပါပဲ။

👄Oral sex ကို အကာအကွယ်မဲ့ လုပ်မယ်ဆိုရင်တောင် လိင်မှတစ်ဆင့် ကူးစက်တတ်တဲ့ ရောဂါတွေ (STIs) ကူးစက်နိုင်ခြေ ရှိပါတယ်။ အကာအကွယ်မဲ့ လိင်ဆက်ဆံမှုတိုင်းမှာ ရောဂါကူးစက်နိုင်ခြေ အမြဲရှိနေပါတယ်။‼️

👉ရောဂါမကူးစက်အောင် အကာအကွယ်မဲ့ 👄နဲ့ လိင်ဆက်ဆံခြင်းကို လျှော့ချဖို့ အောက်ပါအချက်တွေကို လိုက်နာနိုင်ပါတယ်

ပါးစပ်ထဲမှာ အနာ၊ ပြတ်ရှရာ၊ သွားဖုံးသွေးထွက်တာတွေ မရှိအောင် ဂရုစိုက်ပါ။ ဒီလို အနာတွေရှိရင် ရောဂါပိုးဝင်ရောက်ဖို့ ပိုလွယ်ကူပါတယ်။ 👄နဲ့ လိင်မဆက်ဆံမီ သွားတိုက်တာ၊ သွားကြားထိုးတာမျိုး ရှောင်ပါ၊ သွားဖုံးကို ထိခိုက်စေနိုင်လို့ပါ။

HIV ကူးစက်နိုင်ခြေကတော့ 👄နဲ့ လိင်ဆက်ဆံခြင်းမှာ လိင်အင်္ဂါချင်း တိုက်ရိုက်ဆက်ဆံတာ ဒါမှမဟုတ် စအိုနဲ့ ဆက်ဆံတာထက် အများကြီး နည်းပါတယ်။ ဒါပေမယ့် လုံးဝမဖြစ်နိုင်ဘူးလို့တော့ ပြောလို့မရပါဘူး။ သင့်ပါးစပ်မှာ အနာတွေ၊ ပြတ်ရှရာတွေ ရှိရင် ဒါမှမဟုတ် လိင်ဆက်ဆံဖော်ရဲ့ သွေး သို့မဟုတ် လိင်အင်္ဂါအရည်တွေနဲ့ ထိတွေ့ရင် အန္တရာယ် ပိုများပါတယ်။

Condom ကို မှန်ကန်စွာ အသုံးပြုခြင်းက မလိုချင်တဲ့ ကိုယ်ဝန်နဲ့ လိင်ကနေ ကူးစက်တတ်တဲ့ ရောဂါတွေကို ကာကွယ်ရာမှာ အရေးကြီးပါတယ်။ အောက်ပါအချက်တွေကို လိုက်နာပြီး မှန်ကန်စွာ အသုံးပြုနိုင်ပါတယ်။

✅️အဆင့် ၁: အသင့်ပြင်ဆင်ခြင်း

• သက်တမ်းစစ်ဆေးပါ: Condom ထုပ်ပိုးမှုပေါ်က သက်တမ်းကုန်ဆုံးရက်ကို အမြဲစစ်ဆေးပါ။ သက်တမ်းလွန်ပြီးသား Condom ကို မသုံးပါနဲ့။

• ချက်ချင်းဖယ်ရှားပါ: သုတ်လွှတ်ပြီးနောက်၊ လိင်တံပျော့သွားချိန် မရောက်ခင် ချက်ချင်းထုတ်ပါ။
• အောက်ခြေကို ကိုင်ထားပါ: Condom ထိပ်က သုတ်ရည်တွေ မယိုစိမ့်အောင် လိင်တံအောက်ခြေကနေ Condom ရဲ့ အောက်ခြေကို ကိုင်ပြီး ဆွဲထုတ်ပါ။
• Condom ကို ဖြည်းဖြည်းချင်း လှိမ့်ချပါ: အသုံးပြုပြီးသား Condom ကို လှိမ့်ချပြီး ဖြုတ်ပါ။

✅️အဆင့် ၄: စနစ်တကျ စွန့်ပစ်ခြင်း

• အမှိုက်ပုံးထဲထည့်ပါ: အသုံးပြုပြီးသား Condom ကို တစ်ရှူးနဲ့ ပတ်ပြီး အမှိုက်ပုံးထဲ စနစ်တကျ စွန့်ပစ်ပါ။
• အိမ်သာထဲ မထည့်ပါနဲ့: အိမ်သာထဲကို Condom တွေ မစွန့်ပစ်ပါနဲ့။ ဒါက ပိတ်ဆို့မှုတွေ ဖြစ်စေနိုင်ပါတယ်။

🚨အရေးကြီးသောအချက်များ‼️

• Condom တစ်ခုကို တစ်ခါပဲ သုံးပါ။
• မှန်ကန်တဲ့အရွယ်အစားကို ရွေးချယ်ပါ။
• Condom ကို နေရောင်ခြည်နဲ့ အပူချိန်လွန်ကဲတဲ့ နေရာတွေမှာ မထားပါနဲ့။ အေးပြီးခြောက်သွေ့တဲ့ နေရာမှာ သိမ်းဆည်းပါ။
ဒီအချက်တွေကို လိုက်နာမယ်ဆိုရင် Condom ကို ထိရောက်စွာနဲ့ ဘေးကင်းစွာ အသုံးပြုနိုင်မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

AHF Myanmar organized Menstrual Health Day commemorative event at “Girls Training School”Malikha street on 28 of May in collaboration with Department of Social Welfare.
Young girls from the other schools and AHF’ girls act teams also joined the event. Girls shared their knowledge and experience in addressing the stigma, cultural taboos, and lack of menstrual hygiene access that undermine dignity and HIV risk among young girls and women.

One month after major earthquake, affected people resumes their daily routine for cooking and household activities. Rice is essential for their daily life. AHF supported 300 rice bags of 50 Kg to earthquake victims in Sagaing and Mandalay towns. We also supported plastic sheets to protect rain which will come soon and family kits for water sanitation and hygiene. Health talks were conducted by team members at the camp site to prevent diarrhea diseases and heat stroke.

An earthquake , followed by fire, destroyed the whole residence area named Sein Pan Quarter, in Mandalay. People are staying in the temporary makeshift tents.Today, we visited that place and supplied 100 bags of rice and provided health talk to prevent communicable diseases and heat stroke during stay in the camp. Prevention of preventable diseases in the camps is essential.

Almost one month after major earthquake in Sagaing and Mandalay regions, humanitarian assistance are still needed especially for food, non-food items and prevention of communicable diseases at temporary camps. Today AHF Myanmar team visited two earthquake relief camps in Mandalay and Sagaing regions and provided food and non-food supplies, health talks and distributed pamphlets for communicable diseases prevention.

AHF Asia Bureau Chief Dr. Sarath Chhim and the Myanmar team visited Pyinmana town which was severely damaged by the earthquake.
Many injured patients are in hospitals. We donated surgery and trauma medicines and materials which were shortage.
The team also supported family kits to the affected families in cooperation with local partners. We continue to support not only in this area but also in other areas as well.
