HEALING THE MIND:
THE MONOGOUL MEDITATION OF THE BLUE MONGOLIAN ELDERS.
Ancient wisdom states:
"If the mind is at peace, the spinal cord and brain will be at peace.
If the spinal cord and brain are at peace, the soul will be at peace.
If the soul is at peace, the heart will be at peace.
If the heart is at peace, the whole body will be at peace."
When the mind is unsettled, the first to suffer is the spinal cord. Once the spinal cord is affected, the pineal gland—the core of our brain—experiences distress. This, in turn, leads to ailments in the heart, aorta, and other brain regions. When both the heart and brain are in distress, the entire body begins to ail. Then, how can we maintain a peaceful mind?
To cultivate inner peace, one must first understand the essence of the mind from a theoretical perspective.
The Nature of the Mind in the Philosophy of the Eternal Sky
The mind is fire— a flame originating from the Eternal Blue Sky’s vital energy. This flame constitutes the life force of both our spirit and physical body.
According to the philosophy of the Eternal Blue Sky, the mind is fire—an elemental flame derived from the sacred fire of the Eternal Blue Sky. This fire is the vital flame that created the life of our soul and the life of our flesh.
The soul, which consists of a pure and fiery body, functions to maintain the sacred fire of the Eternal Blue Sky within our physical form. This sacred fire is evenly distributed throughout both the soul and the body, providing life energy, breath, and vitality. This very essence is what is called the Mind.
The color, intensity, and steadiness of this sacred fire depend directly on us as individuals. Ideally, this sacred fire should burn brightly and steadily, radiating pure light, displaying iridescent colors, and emitting a pleasant fragrance.
To keep this sacred fire pure, one must be aware of the following principles:
- Cultivate a peaceful and serene state of mind.
- Acknowledge that you possess a soul, a life, and a fire.
- Remember that this fire must never be extinguished and recognize when it starts to dim.
- Avoid actions that provoke anger, resentment, frustration, disputes, and conflicts.
- Learn not to discourage yourself, not to sadden your heart, and not to dwell on negative thoughts.
- If the fire within dims, take conscious steps to rekindle and strengthen it.
- Be joyful, happy, inspired, and full of fire and spirit.
- As the sacred fire is the fire of love, engage in activities that you love and are passionate about.
- Stay as close as possible to your loved ones, speak words of love from the heart, express love, bring joy, gift happiness, invite happiness into your life, praise, appreciate, be grateful, uplift with encouragement, and tak e pride.
- Honor love and use it as the foundation for your personal growth.
Identify and eliminate behaviors that extinguish both your own inner fire and that of others, such as quick temper, malice, jealousy, harsh words, deceit, discouragement, or self-doubt.
When the sacred fire is disrupted, or when inner peace is lost, various illnesses arise:
Distress: Affects the liver, causing pain and suffering.
Anxiety: Leads to heartache and chest pain.
Emotional pain: Affects the uterus, leading to reproductive issues.
Worry: Causes kidney and spleen ailments.
Disappointment: Upsets the stomach, leading to indigestion.
Emptiness: Weakens the heart’s fire and lowers kidney function.
Sorrow: Affects the pancreas, thymus, thyroid, ovaries, adrenal glands, and bone marrow.
Melancholy: Leads to kidney prolapse and bladder dysfunction.
Sadness: Causes uterine contractions, liver stagnation, and internal tension.
Grief: Weakens the kidneys and causes abdominal pain.
Mental rejuvenation: Revitalizes the spinal energy flow (the sacred fire).
Mongolians have long been a people deeply attuned to the mind, using a rich vocabulary to describe its nuances. Our ancestors proclaimed that "a human being is a creature of the mind," placing the highest value on spiritual education.
Chinggis Khaan himself emphasized the importance of winning over the hearts and minds of people, stating, "If one calls upon the mind, where else can the body go?"
May you embark on the path of spiritual enlightenment through the MonOgouUl Meditation, a practice rooted in the wisdom of Mongolian elders, experiencing the 108 levels of spiritual serenity. May you live in peace and harmony, and enjoy a long and fulfilling life.
