Today was such a beautiful day for a field trip. We went on a field trip to Kumoi Farm to tour their amazing farm. It was a breathtaking and fantastic place. There were ducks, rabbits, chickens, and cows.

The fun part was that some of the animals had names, and some of them didnโ€™t. We even got a chance to meet Marshmallow, a cow, and we fed him sweet bread. We learned from Marshmallow likes eating ice cream and Local sweet bread from Hermaโ€™s Bakery. It was such a fun field trip day.

Good evening, everyone!

Before the day ends, we would love to share our tasks for today and how our morning went after our daily routine with Mr. Jacob.

While we were waiting, the team leaders were outside with Mr. Chris and Uncle Emet, helping them put up a new dome donated by Homeland Security, which we turned into a greenhouse.

A BIG THANK YOU TO HOMELAND SECURITY! We truly appreciate your generous support.๐Ÿซก๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‘

Hafa Adai everyone! Today is Wednesday - field trip day!

We kicked off the cloudy day at CLI with Mr. Jacob taking attendance and helping consumers practice calling and making reservations with COTA.

After that we went on a field trip to Kumoi Farm in As Perdido. Everyone learned from the owner Mr. Simeon what animals he hasโ€”roosters, ducks, bunnies, pigs, and dogsโ€”and how he takes care of them. We took a lot of pictures around the farm. Thank you, Mr. Simeon, for the tour and fun visit!

To end the field trip, we drove along the newly built road connecting Dandan to the airport.

For lunch we had sautรฉed pork with vegetables. Everyone enjoyed lunch so much that it gave them a lot of energy to last throughout the day!

Hello and Happy Monday, everyone!

It's slippery and raining โ€”please be careful and stay safe out there today. โ˜”๏ธ

Unfortunately we weren't able to do outdoor independent living skill training, but we were able to complete it indoors. The rain cannot stop us from completing our tasks for the day! Everyone participated in their assigned tasks, and even after finishing our own parts, we helped others.

Ready? It's lunchtime! Our amazing chefs served us delicious pork katsu with white rice and cabbage salad. It was a really tasty lunch!

Hello, hello, hello everyone! โ˜€๏ธโœจ

Itโ€™s Thursday! ๐ŸŽ‰

We had a little surprise this morning when the power went out โšก๐Ÿ˜ฒ, but that did not stop our amazing consumers! They moved their morning routine outside and made the best of it.

Attendance was taken, and everyone enjoyed reading the newspaper together in the fresh air ๐Ÿ“ฐ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒž

After that, the fun continued with an exciting round of bingo! ๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽฑ There was lots of laughter, cheering, and friendly competition.

Congratulations to all of our winners! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ‰
Because of the outage, the consumers were released early. Before heading home, everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch of tuna sandwiches ๐Ÿฅช๐ŸŸ and warm egg drop soup ๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿ’›

Awesome job, team! ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒŸ Even though the day was shorter than usual, everyone handled the unexpected power outage with such positivity and teamwork. We are so proud of you all! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ˜Š

Happy Wednesday!

We had to switch our schedule today. After our daily routine. While waiting on the time, we went ahead into our peer support ukulele session this morning, where we practiced playing the ukulele with Mr. Chris.

The chefs were busy preparing corn soup for lunch. It was Ash Wednesday, which means we couldnโ€™t eat meat, so we had corn soup with sandwiche instead. After eating an early lunch, we went to attend Mass.

Some consumers stayed behind with Mr. Emet and Mr. Zach. We had a great time playing bingo. On the other hand, other consumers attended Mass at Kristo Rai Church with the CLI staff. It was such an amazing day for us to have the chance to attend Mass.

They came back, and it was time for us to continue our ILS training for a little while before the day was over.

Have a great day, everyone!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! โ˜€๏ธ Did everyone enjoy the long weekend? Our consumers definitely did! ๐Ÿ˜Šโœจ

First thing in the morning, we took attendance, shared stories about our weekends, and read the newspaper ๐Ÿ“ฐ. After completing our daily routine, it was time to jump into peer support! ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’ฌ

Today, the consumers continued learning all about money ๐Ÿ’ฐ. A big thank you to Mr. Jacob for his wonderful presentation on coins! ๐Ÿช™ The group reviewed the names of the coins, practiced identifying their values, and worked hard on counting correctly. Everyone is improving so much, and it shows! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒŸ

For lunch, it was chefโ€™s choice featuring delicious wonton noodle soup ๐Ÿœ๐Ÿฅข. It was both tasty and nutritious, and some of the consumers even practiced using chopsticks. Great job trying something new! ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ™Œ

After lunch, the fun continued with engaging activities ๐ŸŽ‰. Some worked on puzzles ๐Ÿงฉ, others enjoyed a lively game of bingo ๐ŸŽฑ, and a few practiced playing the ukulele ๐ŸŽถ. There was something for everyone!
Overall, it was a productive and positive day. Fantastic job, team! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™ Everyone is making wonderful progress with counting money. Keep up the amazing work! ๐ŸŒˆโœจ

Greetings from CLI family!

We were at full capacity today, and it felt good to see our amazing consumers. Everyone participated with todayโ€™s task. This morning, we separated into three groups with their team leaders. Some consumers were outside, while other groups were in the building. It was a very busy day for us, as we all worked on improving our skills in supporting one another. We conducted an โ€œIndependent Living Skillsโ€ training session, and our consumers did an amazing job.

Chef Ignacio and his team were busy preparing lunch. It was delicious teriyaki chicken with a side of jicama and cabbage salad. It made our day and filled us with energy. Thanks to the amazing chefs for such a yummy lunch!

A big thank you to our U.S. Delegate, Congresswoman Kimberlyn King-Hinds, and her team for your lovely donation of those delicious cupcakes. We enjoyed them! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

We'll see you all next week and have a wonderful weekend ahead of you!

Today, we participated in a peer Support session with Mr. Jacob. The objective of the session was to teach the concept of money, including identifying U.S. dollar and coins. It was a very interactive session conducted using Nearpod. After the session, we continued with our ILS training at the center.

Mr. Chris and his crew work outside cutting the grass and removing weeds in the garden. Our chef and his team prepared a delicious lunch consisting of sushi rolls, nacho chips, and dips.๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿฃ

Hello, everyone!

We began with attendance led by Mr. Jacob and then discussed how our weekend went. At the same time, Mr. Chris prepared the projector for us to watch the Super Bowl between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. There were snacks on the table for everyone, and it was a fun game.

Just in time for the half time show lunch was ready! Thanks to the chefs for the delicious meal. For lunch they severed baked chicken with rice and for sides we had tomato ๐Ÿ… and jicamas. Tโ€™was an awesome meal!๐Ÿฅ˜

After lunch, we worked on one of our tasks for the day. While watching the Super Bowl, we created cool cards, but we wonโ€™t tell you yet who theyโ€™re for.
