Stage 3️⃣: Proximal Hamstring Tendinopathy 🔥

Progress happens in the positions that matter most. Train smart, not just hard. 💡

🔹Focus on isotonic strengthening in increased hip flexion

🎯 Goal: Progressing strength, hypertrophy, and function while gradually loading into sport-specific ranges.

Exercise Highlights: 🔥
1️⃣ Single Leg Hip Thrust
2️⃣ Diver
3️⃣ Deadlift
4️⃣ Weighted Step up
5️⃣ Weighted Lunges

Stage 2️⃣ - Proximal Hamstring Tendinopathy

🔹 Focus: Isotonic hamstring loading with minimal hip flexion to avoid tendon compression.

🎯 Goal: Restore hamstring muscle bulk and capacity through controlled resistance training.

🦵 Heavy Slow Resistance (HSR) training- incorporating both concentric and eccentric phases- has shown superior results to isolated eccentric loading.

💡 While we build strength and load tolerance, loaded hip flexion is still limited to protect the tendon from compressive stress.

🔥 Exercise highlights:
1️⃣ Prone hip extension
2️⃣ Prone leg curl
3️⃣ Single leg hamstring bridge
4️⃣ Elevated Glute bridge
5️⃣ Hamstring curl on BOSU ball

Progressive overload, proper form, and tendon-friendly angles= smart rehab ✅

Stage 1️⃣ - Proximal Hamstring Tendinopathy

🔹 Goal: Introduce isometric hamstring loading while avoiding tendon compression

🧠 Isometric exercises have a pain-inhibitory effect, making them ideal in this early stage. To reduce tendon compression, we keep the hip in neutral or minimal flexion.

💪🏻 Exercises shown:
1️⃣ Isometric heel dig 🪏
2️⃣ Double leg hamstring bridge (hold)
3️⃣ Prone isometric hamstring curl
4️⃣ Single leg hamstring bridge (hold)

🎯 Controlled loading without irritation is 🔑
