At the Euro-Mediterranean High-level Dialogue on Disability in Barcelona yesterday, Dr. Alistair de Gaetano & Christine Sant reiterated Maltese sectoral best practices, reflected in the Theory of Change document finalised by Union for the Mediterranean, in the buildup to their Regional Framework on Disability. The Union for the Mediterranean commended MaltaGov and Inklużjoni for their leadership on disability matters.

Malta's Autism Advisory Council has criticised the US' latest claim that correlates the use of paracetamol during pregnancy to autism

The Directorate for Disability Issues endorses the statement issued by the Autism Advisory Council whilst urging caution with regards to claims being made that Paracetamol and Autism are linked, which claims are not scientifically proven. Leucovorin supplementation use requires caution since robust clinical trials in this regard have not taken place. The Public is being urged to consult with licensed health professionals and base their decisions on science-based evidence.
