Strength Training & Menopause: A Game Changer! 💪✨

Did you know that strength training is one of the BEST things you can do during perimenopause and menopause? This was confirmed in our previous workshops with Dr Chiara and Carolyn Sultana. As estrogen levels decline, women experience a natural loss of muscle mass, bone density, and metabolism slows down. But lifting weights can help!

✅ Boosts Metabolism – More muscle = more calorie burn, even at rest!
✅ Strengthens Bones – Reduces the risk of osteoporosis and fractures.
✅ Balances Hormones – Helps regulate insulin, cortisol, and stress levels.
✅ Enhances Mood & Energy – Say goodbye to fatigue and hello to endorphins!

You don’t need to lift super heavy—bodyweight exercises, resistance bands, and dumbbells all work. The key is consistency!

Join me and Denise from DNG Fitness on the 29th of March and start prioritizing your well-being with us 💪🏻

Date - 29th March
Time - 10 - 14 (includes vegetarian dishes)
Venue - Mulberries
Price - €80

Tag a friend who needs to start their strength training journey! 💕

The 8th of September marks World Physiotherapy day and this year the topic chosen is Low Back Pain. 619Million people suffered from back in 2020; that’s 1 in 13! This is the leading cause of disability in the world.
Most often this can be managed successfully with physiotherapy, education, lifestyle changes and simple painkillers.

Do not let your back pain hinder your quality of life and consult with a physiotherapist to start off your rehab journey to pain free life

66% were women!!
Falls prevention and immediate surgery is important but what about earlier prevention? We need to make sure women have strong bones through proper weighted exercise, nutrition and hormone treatment in menopause where indicated!
Menopause inevitably affects bone health and we need to address menopause issues first

Waiting time to surgery has improved but education on fall prevention is lacking

Continence issues are very common but it does not make them normal. Take control of your continence today independent of how long you’ve been suffering, age, s*x or any other issue you might see as a barrier. Incontinence whether just a drop or more severe should never be tolerated!
