Villa Overhills is a late nineteenth century Villa, built by Mr Frederick Belcher, a Manager of Shell-Oils resident Malta, it was eventually enlarged by the eminent Maltese ophthalmologist Mr Francis Damato. Villa Overhills is a spacious and impressive wedding reception venue, with beautifully kept gardens, surrounded by mature trees and suggestive pathways. Adjacent the large pool, there is a Greco-Roman style gazebo with columnades and with the inscription on it "Amor Vincit Omnia" or "Love Conquers All", our motto for all the weddings that take place in our venues. Villa Overhills is a unique venue. It has been scheduled as a Grade 2 property. In the Government Gazzette of Tuesday 15th November 1994, no. 16,032, and in accordance with Section 46 of the Development Planning Act 1992, "Villa Overhills" at Triq iz-Zejtun (now renamed Triq Ghar Dalam), Birzebbuga, is being designated as a Grade 2 in terms of Structure Plan Policy UC07".
