Malnutrition Awareness Week | 10th–14th November

Did you know that malnutrition doesn’t only happen due to lack of food? Many people develop disease-related malnutrition, where illness affects appetite, increases nutritional needs, or makes it harder for the body to absorb nutrients.

Common signs include:
• Unintentional weight loss
• Muscle wasting
• Reduced appetite
• Feeling tired or weak
• Frequent illness or slow recovery
• Wounds that take longer to heal
• Clothes or jewellery becoming loose

Recognising these signs early can make a huge difference in someone’s health and recovery. 💚

If you are concerned about yourself or someone you care for, speak to a doctor.
📩 Referrals to the PHC Dietetics Department can be made at:

Let’s work together to support better nutrition and healthier lives. 🌱
