World physiotherapy day is coming up on 8th September!

The theme for this year's World PT Day is the role of physiotherapy and physical activity in HEALTHY AGEING, with a focused look at preventing frailty and falls.

Duration: 16 hours, split over 2 days

📍Location: Red Cross, Triq Gioacchino Le Brun, Pembroke PBK 1710Instructor: A certified Malta Red Cross Instructor

Fee: €65 for MAP members and €70 for Non-MAP members (an optional €5 fee applies for those who wish to have a physical First Aider ID card)

The World Physiotherapy board has appointed Sidy Ousmane Dieye its next chief executive officer (CEO).

World Physiotherapy contracted with Saxton Bampfylde at the end of 2024 to lead the board through the critical process of searching for World Physiotherapy’s next CEO. A high number of applications were received from a range of experienced and well-qualified applicants.

Michel Landry, World Physiotherapy president, said: “Sidy brings a wealth of experience, including many years as World Physiotherapy head of programmes and development, and a deep commitment to advancing the physiotherapy profession worldwide.
