Famelab Malta Malta has joined over 25 other countries to host the International Fame Lab competition in order to Who can participate? Which subject should I choose?

Esplora, Malta's Interactive Science Centre, in collaboration with British Council and Arts Council Malta, brings back FameLab, the International science communication competition! If you are over the age of 21 and are keen on a science-related subject, and can present this concept in an enticing 3 minute presentation, then you are invited to participate in FameLab Malta and get in the chance to p

articipate in the Cheltenham Science Festival! The subject selected should be a topic in STEM, due to the vast nature of the subject it can be anything from all the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering and even Medicine. Participants are encouraged to present their research but must simplify it and make it appealing to even a general, non-science based audience. Can I use Audio-visuals? The use of visual presentations and advanced technical help is not allowed in FameLab. However, participants can use props, short music clips as well as a limited number of pictures that they can bring on stage. What happens if I get through to the national final? If you are one of the lucky ones, then you will be able to attend a masterclass by a science communication professional who will give our finalists some pointers and mentor them to give the best presentation possible. Said winners will then compete amongst themselves in the national final.
