Speech Therapy

How long will my journey be ?

At first, the speech therapy journey can feel overwhelming—uncertainty about milestones, worry about communication, questions about the future. But the moment that parent gains clarity—understanding their child’s needs, recognizing their strengths, and seeing a structured path forward through therapy—that clarity becomes power.

Power to celebrate small wins.

When a parent clearly sees the path—appointments scheduled, goals defined, progress tracked—fear turns into focus. Doubt turns into determination. And that clarity fuels resilience.

No missed session.
No discouraging comment.
No temporary setback can stop a parent who knows where they’re going and why.

Choosing determination over anxiety is key and following your child's lead with your SLPs help means success.

After finishing a session yesterday, a parent had a melt down and told me ' Ms. I suffer from anxiety and went through alot in my life'. I listened and empathised and knowing me enough I gave some advice. At the end she filled my heart with joy ( the little lessons we learn every day) đź’™

The parent asked ' Can I come here every week my self pls 🙏 ? You listened to me and showed me that you really care' I said but I'm not a counsellor or a psychologist I'm a speech therapist and we both ended up hugging each other as though I can see your struggles.

In life, these little things count ✨️and make others feel better.

Here's wishing everyone best wishes for a New Year.

May this New Year 2026 bring continued learning and positive milestones both big and small.

Looking forward to seeing you all again soon and supporting each other for further progress in the months ahead.

And that's a wrap to 2025 . I would like to sincerely thank my dear clients for all the support throughout the year. It has truly been a great year, and I thank God for the new challenges and growth it has brought.

I am especially grateful to all the families who kindly agreed to reduce temporarily the frequency of sessions so I could continue my studies. Your understanding and support mean more than words can express.

This year has been incredibly rewarding - seeing children walk into the clinic without words, and then watching them perform confidently in Christmas concerts, has been truly heart-warming.

Although they are not my own children, I have always treated them as if they were.
Please forgive me if at times I gave advice that seemed far fetched,; it always came from a place of wanting the very best for your children.

As we look ahead to 2026, there are new projects on the horizon. While they may not all be fully realised right away, they will mark the beginning of a new and exciting chapter.

Wishing you all a Blessed Christmas and a wonderful start to the New Year 2026.

Always remember: you are the greatest gift to your children- your presence, not the presents and that each child flourishes in his own special way.

Blessings

Pretend Play

Children love playing with different kinds of rooms and objects related to the living room, bathroom, bedroom etc....

One can target so much vocabulary when playing this kind of play.

Naming furniture, prepositions ( on, under, in etc), adjectives big vs small, open wardrobe vs closed etc....

This kind of play is loved by both boys and girls.

Tips for Parents

Targeting vocabulary related to Christmas.

Mention the things related to Christmas to your children, involve them in house decorations, baking activities and crafts. Also don't miss out on outdoor events. Christmas can be a great time of the year to help children build their vocabulary further :)

1 tip to help children with communication difficulties....

Use simple, every day routines as language lessons.

While getting dressed, eating or playing talk about what you're doing using short phrases. Example "Shirt on" or "Big bite"

Repeat consistently to help your child connect words with actions..
