Cremation is becoming increasingly popular with Maltese families despite Malta not yet having its own cremation facility.

Facts about cremation:

- Cremation is accepted by the Church and a funeral service can take place in church before or after the cremation, with the urn.
- Families attending the cremation can return home with the ashes on the same day.
- The nearest crematorium is in Misterbianco, Catania. This is easily reachable in 20 minutes from Catania airport or just over an hour from Pozzallo.
- A courier service to bring back the ashes is available for families who are unable to attend the cremation.

To facilitate arrangements and accommodate Maltese families, the crematorium of Misterbianco has representation offices in Gzira, Qawra and Iklin managed by Camilleri Funeral Directors International.

We were honoured to assist and support the Gambin family in organising the repatriation and funeral of their beloved parents Jeremy and Lorraine, who passed away tragically in a road accident in Croatia last week.

May the Lord grant them eternal rest.

A VACANCY has arisen for a Customer Service Manager, willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to assist families in their time of need.

If you are smart and diligent, posses excellent customer service and communication skills and searching for a rewarding career, this may be the opportunity you are looking for.

Applicant must be fluent in Maltese and English, I.T. literate, own transport and driving license.

Experience in administration, customer service and sales is preferred. Applicant must be willing to work flexible hours including Saturdays.

A disturbance allowance, commissions and incentives will be included in the performance driven remuneration package.

We are glad to assist this family with repatriation of their beloved Maichol to Italy.

The 21-year-old Italian national who died following a motorcycle accident in Pembroke has been identified as Maichol Di Nunzio. The collision happened on 14 August along St Andrew’s Road.
