⁉️I wasn’t always this flexible — but I live with hypermobility — and it’s not always as fun as it looks.
➡️ Hypermobility means my joints move beyond their normal range. While it might look impressive in yoga, it can actually lead to pain, instability, and injuries if I’m not careful.
Over the years, I’ve learned that strength and control are just as important as flexibility.
✅ Lock your elbows and knees straight, but avoid overextending them.
✅ Engage the surrounding muscles to stabilize the joints.
✅ Move mindfully, noticing how your body feels in each position.
✅ Focus on strength, not extreme flexibility — it keeps your joints safe.
Yoga isn’t about bending as far as possible. It’s about alignment, awareness, and controlled strength.
